MAKlassic Two-Piece Pivot Mount, Rotation Lock, Mauser K98, 30mm

• Two-piece pivot design: The separate front and rear bases keep the installation compact and well matched to classic rifle actions, while the pivot layout allows the scope to be removed and reattached in a repeatable way.
• Rotation lock system: The rotating lock secures the optic firmly in place, helping the mount stay dependable under field use and making it practical for rifles that may alternate between scoped and open-sight use.
• 30 mm scope compatibility: Built for 30 mm scope tubes, this mount suits a wide range of hunting optics and gives a solid interface without unnecessary adapters or spacers.
• Steel construction: The steel build favors long-term rigidity and wear resistance, which is especially important on a pivot mount where consistent alignment matters over repeated mounting cycles.
• Mauser K98-pattern fit: This version is configured for Mauser K98-type actions and related rifles, giving a model-specific solution that suits traditional sporting and hunting rifle setups.

About the MAKlassic Series

MAKlassic is MAK’s traditional line of two-piece pivot mounts for rifles and break-action firearms. The series was documented in MAK catalogues by 2019 and is built around the idea of pairing classic firearm platforms with a mounting system that preserves a conventional profile while still allowing the optic to be detached and returned to the rifle with confidence. Within the range, MAK offers versions for specific rifle models, along with different lock types, mount heights, and front-foot offsets so the setup can be matched to both the firearm and the optic.

A defining characteristic of the series is its focus on model-specific configurations. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all base, MAKlassic mounts are tailored to particular rifle actions and are offered for both scope tubes and optic rails. The line includes rotating-lock and lever-lock variants, giving users a choice between different handling styles while keeping the same classic pivot-mount concept. In practice, the series suits hunters and traditional rifle owners who want a secure, mechanically straightforward mounting system that complements older or classic sporting rifles without moving to a modern tactical-style rail setup.

About the MAKlassic Two-Piece Pivot Mount, Rotation Lock, Mauser K98, 30mm

The MAKlassic Two-Piece Pivot Mount, Rotation Lock, Mauser K98, 30mm is built for shooters who want to fit a 30 mm riflescope to a Mauser K98-pattern rifle while keeping the handling and appearance of a classic sporting setup. Its two-piece layout keeps the mount compact on the action, which is especially appropriate on traditional Mauser-based hunting rifles where a bulky rail system would look out of place and add unnecessary mass.

The key functional element is the rotation lock. On a pivot mount, the quality of the locking system matters because it governs how securely the optic returns to position after removal. A rotating lock gives a positive mechanical hold, making the mount practical for rifles that may be carried with iron sights available or for users who occasionally remove the scope for transport, maintenance, or a different style of shooting. The pivot concept also supports the long-standing appeal of detachable hunting optics on classic bolt actions.

Its steel construction is another important part of the design. Steel brings the rigidity and wear resistance needed in a mount that relies on precise engagement surfaces, and that matters over years of repeated attachment and removal. Combined with the rifle-specific fit for the Mauser K98 platform, the result is a mount intended for dependable alignment, traditional styling, and solid support for a 30 mm hunting scope.
