Levenhuk SkyMatic 127 GT Mak

1. Maksutov-Cassegrain Optical Design: The Levenhuk SkyMatic 127 GT Mak employs a Maksutov-Cassegrain optical system, a catadioptric design that combines mirrors and a precisely curved meniscus lens. This construction results in a remarkably compact and portable telescope that delivers exceptionally sharp and high-contrast images, especially beneficial for planetary and lunar observation. Its closed tube design minimizes dust and air currents, ensuring consistent performance.

2. GoTo Automation with SkyMatic GT Mount: Equipped with the advanced SkyMatic GT GoTo alt-azimuth mount, this telescope transforms stargazing into an effortless experience. The computerized system automatically locates and tracks thousands of celestial objects from its extensive database, allowing both beginners and experienced hobbyists to spend more time observing rather than searching. This automated precision ensures objects remain centered in the eyepiece.

3. Versatile Observation Capabilities: With its 127mm aperture and 1500mm focal length, the SkyMatic 127 GT Mak is incredibly versatile. It excels in providing detailed, high-magnification views of the Moon and planets, revealing intricate surface features and planetary rings. Furthermore, its light-gathering power is sufficient to explore a wide range of deep-sky objects, including brighter nebulae, star clusters, and galaxies, making it a well-rounded instrument for various astronomical pursuits.

4. Complete and Ready-to-Use Package: The telescope comes as a comprehensive package, including two high-quality Super Kellner eyepieces (10mm and 25mm), a 90-degree star diagonal for comfortable viewing, and a red dot finderscope for easy initial alignment. The sturdy stainless steel tripod provides a stable platform, ensuring steady observations even at high magnifications. This complete setup means it's ready for immediate use right out of the box.

ABOUT THE LEVENHUK SKYMATIC 127 GT MAK

The Levenhuk SkyMatic 127 GT Mak stands out as a sophisticated yet user-friendly telescope, perfect for hobbyists seeking both optical precision and automated convenience. Its Maksutov-Cassegrain optical design is a key differentiator, offering a unique blend of a compact form factor with a long focal length. This catadioptric construction utilizes a combination of mirrors and a meniscus corrector lens, resulting in a significantly shorter optical tube compared to refractors or Newtonian reflectors of comparable focal length. This makes the 127 GT Mak incredibly portable and easy to set up, without compromising on image quality. It delivers razor-sharp, high-contrast views that are particularly outstanding for detailed observations of the Moon, planets, and double stars. The closed tube design also minimizes dust intrusion and internal air currents, ensuring consistent performance. Coupled with the advanced SkyMatic GT GoTo mount, this telescope provides automated object location and tracking, making it an ideal choice for both beginners eager to explore the night sky without extensive knowledge of star charts, and experienced observers who appreciate hands-free navigation. Its robust construction uses quality optical glass and a durable metal tube, ensuring longevity and reliable performance for years to come. This makes it an excellent instrument for both backyard astronomy and taking on observing trips.
