Levenhuk Rainbow 8x25 Lime

• Compact dual-hinge body: The foldable pocket format slips easily into a jacket pocket or small bag, making these binoculars practical for travel, walks, sporting events, and everyday sightseeing.
• 8x magnification with 25 mm objectives: This combination brings distant details closer without making the binoculars bulky, giving a useful balance between reach, portability, and steady handheld viewing.
• Roof prism design with fully multicoated optics: The slim roof-prism layout keeps the binoculars easy to carry, while the coatings help preserve brightness and contrast for clearer views in daylight conditions.
• Waterproof, fogproof, nitrogen-filled construction: Sealed optics resist moisture and internal fogging, so the binoculars remain dependable when weather changes during hiking, travel, or outdoor events.
• Wide 133.35 m/1000m field of view: A broad viewing window makes it easier to follow moving subjects and scan landscapes, city scenes, or stadium action without constantly repositioning the binoculars.

About the Levenhuk Rainbow Series

The Levenhuk Rainbow series was introduced in fall 2014 as a line of compact hiking binoculars built around easy portability and straightforward everyday use. The series is aimed at people who want a light companion for travel, walking, hiking, sports-event viewing, landscapes, and architectural observation, rather than a large full-size binocular that stays in the car or at home. Across the range, the design centers on roof prisms, a foldable compact body, and central focusing, which together make the binoculars quick to deploy and easy to carry for long periods.

Rainbow models use BaK-4 optical glass and multilayer anti-reflective coatings to support a clear, bright image in a small format. The series is also described as waterproof and nitrogen-filled, so it is suited to changing outdoor conditions where moisture and temperature shifts can affect lesser optics. A distinctive part of the Rainbow identity is its color range, with versions offered in shades such as Red Berry, Orange, Lime, Blue Wave, and Amethyst. That gives the series a more individual look while keeping the practical focus on compact outdoor observation.

About the Levenhuk Rainbow 8x25 Lime

The Levenhuk Rainbow 8x25 Lime is a pocket binocular built for users who want a truly compact optic without giving up the versatility of 8x magnification. That magnification is strong enough for sightseeing, wildlife observation at moderate distances, and following action at outdoor events, while the 25.00 mm objective lenses keep the binoculars small and light enough to carry all day. At 280.00 g, this model is easy to keep on hand for spontaneous use, which is exactly where a pocket binocular earns its value.

The optical layout uses roof - Schmidt/Pechan prisms and fully multicoated lenses to maintain a slim shape and support good image contrast in daylight viewing. A 133.35 m/1000m field of view helps when scanning wide scenes or tracking moving subjects, and the central focusing system makes quick adjustments simple when shifting from near to far observation. The 3.13 mm exit pupil supports comfortable daytime viewing, while the 10.10 mm eye relief keeps the eyepiece compact and usable for short, casual observation sessions.

Mechanically, the binoculars are designed for real outdoor carry. The dual-hinge body folds down small for storage, and the nitrogen-filled, waterproof, and fogproof construction helps the optic stay ready in damp or changeable weather. The right-eyepiece diopter adjustment allows the image to be tuned to differences between the user’s eyes, which is important for maintaining a sharp view during longer observation.

About Levenhuk

Levenhuk began operations in 2002, initially focusing on markets outside the United States. The company describes itself as an American manufacturer of optical instruments with headquarters in Tampa, Florida. Its catalog covers a broad span of observation equipment, including binoculars, spotting scopes, telescopes, monoculars, and microscopes, which shows a clear specialization in accessible consumer optics for outdoor use, education, and hobby observation.

Within binoculars, Levenhuk has developed multiple product families such as Atom, Karma, Sherman, and Vegas, each aimed at different needs and budgets. The company also extends into more specialized categories, including Fatum thermal scopes and Halo and Atom Digital night-vision devices. That wider product range is relevant here because it reflects a manufacturer with experience across both traditional optical systems and electronic observation devices. Levenhuk states that its manufacturing facilities are in China.
