The Lynx 3.0 series is HikMicro's handheld thermal imaging monocular line, built for hunters, outdoor observers, and anyone who needs a compact, single-hand device for scanning terrain, locating game, or checking property after dark. The series spans several sensor and lens combinations, from entry-level models with smaller sensors and shorter lenses to longer-range variants built around a 640×512 sensor and larger objective lenses, letting the user pick the balance of detection range and price that fits their use.

Across the series, HikMicro applies its HSIS shutterless imaging technology to keep the image free of the periodic freezing associated with conventional shutter-based calibration, along with AI-powered Image Pro 3.0 and Zoom Pro processing to maintain image clarity through the zoom range. Models are built around an AMOLED display, with resolution and size varying by tier, and share a rugged, IP67-rated housing designed for use in the field. Selected models in the series, denoted by the "L" suffix, add a built-in laser rangefinder, giving direct distance readings without a separate device. The HikMicro Lynx 3.0 LQ35L is one of the longer-range models in the Lynx 3.0 series, built around a 640×512 VOx thermal sensor with 12µm pixel pitch and an NETD of less than 15mK. Paired with a 35mm F1.0 lens, this gives a detection range of up to 1800 m, along with a base magnification of 1.9x and continuous digital zoom up to 15.2x (8x), so the device covers both wide-area scanning and closer inspection of a located target. The 12.5° x 7.5° field of view corresponds to 21.9 m x 13.2 m at 100 m.

Images are shown on a 0.49-inch AMOLED display at 1920×1080 resolution, with six selectable palettes (Black Hot, White Hot, Red Hot, Fusion, Red Monochrome, Green Monochrome) and adjustable brightness, contrast, and tone. The 20mm eye relief, 6mm exit pupil, and -5D to +3D diopter adjustment support comfortable viewing for a range of users. HIKMICRO Shutterless Imaging System (HSIS) keeps the picture stable without the brief freeze of conventional shutter-based calibration, while Image Pro 3.0 and Zoom Pro processing help maintain detail as the image is digitally zoomed.

A built-in laser rangefinder (905nm, Class 1) gives distance readings from 5 m to 1200 m with an accuracy of ±1 m, directly in the display, without the need for a separate rangefinding device. The monocular records video, snapshots, and audio to 64GB of built-in storage, supports picture-in-picture and hot tracking, and connects to the HIKMICRO Sight app over dual-band Wi-Fi for file transfer and remote control.

Power comes from a replaceable and rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion battery, rated for approximately 5 hours of continuous use at 25°C (4.5 hours at -20°C), charged via USB Type-C. The housing is rated IP67 for dust and water resistance and operates across a -30°C to +45°C temperature range, and the unit ships with two batteries so it can stay in use through a longer session in the field.
