ABOUT THE GUIDE TU SERIES

The TU series is Guide's line of thermal imaging riflescopes, spanning lightweight, compact models through to dual-spectrum and integrated-rangefinding configurations. The series is aimed at hunters, law enforcement, and other professional users who need a weapon-mounted thermal optic for night hunting, search and rescue, or security work, and covers a range of sensor resolutions and objective lens sizes to suit different calibers and shooting distances.

Current TU Pro 3.0 generation models share a common design foundation: the ApexVision S1 imaging platform, combining the ApexCore S1 detector, Nexus 1.0 processing platform, and Hyper-Light 2.0 algorithm for AI-enhanced image quality, along with a 3.0 shutterless architecture that keeps the image stream uninterrupted during use. Scopes in the series use a QHD AMOLED display, a centrally positioned focus wheel and zoom lever for one-handed operation, IP68-rated housings tested for shock resistance, and dual-band Wi-Fi for connection to a companion app. Depending on the model, a built-in laser rangefinder is available for direct distance readings in the field.

ABOUT THE MODEL (GUIDE TU650LS)

The Guide TU650LS is the long-range model in the TU Pro 3.0 lineup, pairing the same 640×512 uncooled VOx detector used in the TU635LS with a larger 50mm F0.9 lens. This combination narrows the field of view to 8.8° x 7.0° (15m x 12m at 100m) but extends the detection range to 2600m, the longest in the series, and provides a magnification range of 3.7x-29.6x for identifying and engaging targets well beyond typical hunting distances.

The image is shown on a 1.03-inch AMOLED display at 2560×2560 resolution, with seven selectable color palettes (White Hot, Black Hot, Red Hot, Green Hot, Iron Red, Blue Hot, Sepia) to suit different hunting conditions. The eyepiece offers 60mm of eye relief, a -5 to +5 diopter range, and 7.8x eyepiece zoom, and the scope mounts to a standard 30mm tube diameter ring set.

A built-in laser rangefinder provides distance readings up to 1200m, letting the shooter range a target without a separate device. The scope records photo and video with audio through a built-in microphone, stores footage on 256GB of internal memory, twice the capacity of the TU435LS and TU635LS, and connects over 2.4G/5G Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to a companion app for remote control and file transfer. Power comes from two built-in 18650 batteries plus one external 18650 battery, rated for approximately 14 hours of operation, with hot-swappable batteries allowing a spent battery to be replaced without powering down the scope. The housing is rated IP68 for dust and water resistance, tested to 6000J of shock, and operates across a -20°C to 50°C temperature range.
