GRS Sporter Laminate Stock, Howa Mini Action

• Adjustable fit: The cheekpiece and length of pull adjustment let the stock be set to the shooter and optic setup, helping build a more repeatable head position and steadier recoil control.
• Laminate construction: The birch-laminate design gives the stock a solid, stable feel that suits both field use and range work, while also standing up well to regular handling.
• All-round hunting and competition layout: Built for driven hunt, stalking and competition use, the Sporter combines a practical hunting profile with the control needed for more deliberate shooting positions.
• Varmint barrel channel: The 0,86 in (22 mm) barrel channel accommodates heavier barrel contours, which helps when building a rifle for improved stability and sustained accuracy.
• Ergonomic grip and textured surfaces: The grip shape and added texture promote secure hand placement, making the rifle easier to manage in awkward field positions or during fast follow-up shots.

About the GRS Sporter Series

The GRS Sporter series is built around a birch-laminate stock design intended as an all-round option for shooters who want one rifle stock to cover both hunting and target-oriented use. In the GRS lineup, the Sporter sits as a versatile crossover model, suited to driven hunts, stalking and competition shooting rather than being limited to a single discipline. That broad role is reflected in its balance of field-friendly handling, supportive ergonomics and practical adjustability.

A defining feature of the series is GRS SpeedLock adjustment, paired with an adjustable cheekpiece and adjustable length of pull. This gives the Sporter family the flexibility to match different body sizes, clothing layers and optic heights without changing the stock’s core handling character. The series is offered in multiple color options and remains part of the current GRS catalogue, showing its established place in the brand’s laminate-stock range. Overall, the Sporter series is aimed at shooters who want a traditional stock material with modern fit adjustment and a shape that works equally well on the hunt and on the firing line.

About the GRS Sporter Laminate Stock, Howa Mini Action

The GRS Sporter Laminate Stock, Howa Mini Action adapts that all-round concept to a compact bolt-action platform, giving the rifle a more supportive and adjustable interface than a basic factory stock. Its laminate construction provides a rigid foundation for consistent action support, while the glass bedding setup is intended to help the rifle maintain stable contact between stock and action. In practice, that matters for shooters who want dependable zero retention and more predictable accuracy from a hunting or crossover rifle.

The stock is configured for right-hand use and built with a 363.00 mm length of pull, plus cheekpiece adjustment to help align the eye naturally behind a scope. That combination is especially useful when switching between different optic heights or shooting positions, because it reduces the need to lift the head off the stock to find the sight picture. The 53.00 mm forend width gives a broad enough front section for steadier support on bags, rests or improvised field positions, while still remaining practical for carry.

The Varmint 0,86 in (22 mm) diameter barrel channel makes this version suitable for rifles with heavier barrel contours, which can benefit shooters building a more stable stalking or competition-oriented setup on the Howa Mini Action. Added grip texture improves control in wet or hurried handling, and the stated 3.50 nm torque setting gives a clear installation reference. With a weight of 1380.00 g and an overall length of 760.00 mm, this stock is designed to add fit, control and shooting comfort without turning the rifle into a bulky specialist platform.

About GRS

GRS traces its history to 2010 in Grodås, Hornindal, Norway, and the company remains headquartered in Hornindal. The brand focuses on rifle stocks for hunting and shooting, with a range that includes laminate stocks, composite stocks and aluminum chassis systems. Its product families include the Hunter Light, Sporter, Bifrost, Fenris, Warg and Ragnarok lines, covering everything from lighter hunting builds to more specialized precision-oriented platforms.

A key part of the company’s identity is its emphasis on stock fit and shooter ergonomics, including the GRS SpeedLock adjustment system used on several models. GRS began producing laminate rifle stocks in 2011, building on a family business background that started in 1983 as Grodås Møbler AS, a furniture manufacturer. That background helps explain the brand’s focus on shaping, materials and practical handling in rifle stock design.
