GRS Lightweight Classic, Remington 700 SA

• Lightweight laminate construction: At 900.00 g, this stock keeps overall rifle weight down for long climbs and all-day carry, while laminate construction adds the stability needed for consistent field use.
• Adjustable cheekpiece: The push-button cheekpiece adjustment helps the shooter align the eye naturally behind the optic, improving comfort and making it easier to maintain a repeatable shooting position.
• Classic ambidextrous grip: The ambidextrous classic grip suits a wide range of shooting positions and makes the stock practical for both left- and right-handed users in hunting conditions.
• Glass bedding interface: Glass bedding supports a stable action fit, which helps the rifle track more consistently and can contribute to dependable accuracy in changing weather and terrain.
• Built for alpine hunting: Designed for alpine hunting and general use, this stock combines slim handling with added grip texture, giving better control when hands are cold, wet, or gloved.

About the GRS Lightweight Classic Series

The GRS Lightweight Classic series is a modern hunting-stock line developed for shooters who want the feel of a traditional rifle stock with the practical advantages of lower weight and built-in adjustability. Introduced in GRS’s 2026 catalogue, the series is aimed at lightweight rifles and mountain hunting, where every gram matters but a stable shooting position still has to be maintained in the field.

Unlike heavier tactical-style stocks, the Lightweight Classic uses a birch-laminate construction and a classic ambidextrous grip to keep handling familiar and efficient on hunting rifles. A push-button cheekpiece adjustment allows fast setup for different optics and shooting positions, while spacer-based length adjustment gives the stock room to fit different shooters or clothing layers. The series is designed around standard slim barrel channels and carries an oiled finish that suits a practical hunting rifle rather than a bench-focused build. Within the GRS laminate-stock range, it fills the role of a lighter, more traditional option for hunters who still want ergonomic adjustment.

About the GRS Lightweight Classic, Remington 700 SA

The GRS Lightweight Classic, Remington 700 SA adapts the series concept to one of the most widely used short-action rifle platforms. It is built for hunters who want to reduce rifle weight without giving up the stock fit needed for confident shooting with a scope. With a weight of 900.00 g and an overall length of 700.00 mm, this stock is especially well suited to rifles carried over long distances, including steep ground where a lighter setup is easier to manage.

The stock’s adjustable cheekpiece is one of its most useful field features. It allows the shooter to raise the comb height to match the optic, helping create a more natural head position and more consistent eye alignment. That matters on hunting rifles, where a quick sight picture can be just as important as comfort during longer shots. The 325.00 mm length of pull gives the stock a compact, practical fit, while the 45.00 mm forend width keeps the front end slim enough for easy carry and steady support from improvised rests.

Laminate construction gives the stock a solid feel and good dimensional stability, and the glass bedding setup supports a secure action interface. Added grip texture improves control in wet or cold conditions, which is particularly relevant for alpine hunting. Because the stock is non-folding, the design stays simple and rigid, prioritizing dependable field handling over extra moving parts.
