EAW XS pivot mount, 30 mm, Heym Express

• Repeatable pivot design: The EAW XS pivot mount lets a riflescope be removed and reattached while maintaining a consistent point of impact, which is useful when switching between optics or transporting the rifle more compactly.
• 30 mm ring interface: Built for scopes with a 30 mm main tube, this version gives a secure steel mounting platform for many modern hunting optics without adding unnecessary complexity.
• Steel construction: The steel body prioritizes rigidity and long-term wear resistance, helping the mount stay dependable under recoil and frequent use in the field.
• Windage adjustment: With adjustable windage, the mount offers added flexibility during setup, making it easier to align the optic correctly without relying only on the riflescope’s internal adjustment range.
• Rifle-specific fit: Made for the Heym Express, this pivot mount is tailored to the rifle platform, which supports correct fit, stable engagement and reliable handling in practical hunting use.

About the EAW Pivot Mounts Series

EAW Pivot Mounts are built around a long-established quick-detachable concept that EAW says it introduced more than 50 years ago. Within the company’s mount range, the series serves shooters who want a traditional steel mounting solution with dependable repeatability and rifle-specific fit. It is intended for common rifles and long guns, especially where the ability to remove and reinstall an optic matters in day-to-day use.

A defining characteristic of the series is its practical flexibility. The mounts are designed to let a riflescope be removed and reattached without changing the point of impact, which is valuable for transport, maintenance or alternating between optics. EAW also describes the pivot mount as suitable for use with a second scope or aiming device. The system uses adjustable front and rear mount-foot fits, allowing careful fitting to the rifle and helping the mount lock up consistently over time. For break-action firearms, EAW also offers a lever-operated variant with the closure positioned on the scope mount rather than on the firearm itself.

About the EAW XS pivot mount, 30 mm, Heym Express

The EAW XS pivot mount, 30 mm, Heym Express is a rifle-specific steel mount made for pairing a 30 mm riflescope with the Heym Express. Its main advantage is not just that it holds the optic securely, but that it does so in a format designed for repeatable removal and reinstallation. For hunters who may want to remove the scope for transport, storage or a change of sighting setup, that repeatability is the practical value of the pivot system.

This version uses a steel construction, which suits a mount expected to handle recoil, repeated locking cycles and long service life. Steel also supports the close, stable fit that a pivot mount depends on for consistent return to zero. The adjustable windage feature adds useful setup latitude, helping the installer center the optic more effectively and preserve more of the riflescope’s internal adjustment range for actual zeroing.

Because this model is built specifically for the Heym Express, it is intended as a dedicated mounting solution rather than a generic ring set. That rifle-specific geometry matters in practice: it helps the mount engage correctly, sit securely and operate with the predictable handling expected from a detachable hunting optics mount. For shooters using a 30 mm scope on this rifle platform, the result is a robust and serviceable mounting system focused on repeatability and mechanical stability.

About EAW

EAW traces its origins to 1919, when Ernst Apel founded the company in Würzburg, Germany. The brand name took its present form in 1923, when Ernst Apel acquired Elektro-Dental-Werke Frankfurt and changed the EDW brand to EAW, meaning Ernst Apel Würzburg. The company developed and produced its first riflescope mounts in 1945, and since 1951 mount development and production have been its primary focus.

Today, EAW is known for German-made mounting systems for sporting and tactical firearms, including pivot, slide-on or roll-off, and claw mounts. The company also offers thermal imaging cameras and expanded its tactical offering with a dedicated series of mounts in 2023. Production moved from Würzburg to Gerbrunn in 1970, and Ernst Apel GmbH is now headquartered in Eibelstadt, Germany. In this product category, EAW’s reputation rests on rifle-specific engineering, durable steel construction and repeatable quick-detachable mount designs.
