EAW Slide-on Mount for Sako 75, 34 mm

• Detachable slide-on design: The mount lets the riflescope be removed and reattached, which is useful when switching optics or transporting the rifle while keeping a practical, repeatable setup.
• 34 mm scope interface: Built for scopes with a 34 mm main tube, it supports larger modern hunting optics that often offer broader adjustment range and stronger internal construction.
• Sako-specific fit: Designed for Sako actions including the 75, 85 and several classic models, it gives a platform matched to the rifle rather than relying on a generic adapter solution.
• Aluminium construction: The aluminium body keeps weight under control, helping preserve the balance of the rifle while still providing the rigidity needed for secure scope mounting.
• German-made EAW system: As part of EAW’s modular mounting range, it combines precise manufacturing with a design intended for dependable scope positioning in regular field use.

About the EAW Slide-on Mounts Series

EAW Slide-on Mounts sit in the brand’s range as a practical alternative to more elaborate premium mounting systems, aimed at shooters who want removable scope mounting with solid mechanical execution. EAW currently presents slide-on or roll-off mounts as a distinct product category, with the series covering both one-piece and two-piece designs depending on the rifle and application. The concept is built around a scope mount that can be taken off and put back on, making it suitable for rifles that may be used with different optics or carried in a more compact form.

Within the EAW lineup, this series is positioned as an economical option for lighter firearm setups, while still following the company’s established approach to precision mount production. Catalogue variants include solutions for common prism interfaces such as 11 mm and 14.5 mm dovetails, and the range also covers rifles with integrated cylindrical or conical mounting prisms. Some configurations are intended for fixed installation, while others are built for repeatable attachment with a lever lock. That makes the series relevant to hunters and sporting shooters who want a straightforward, rifle-specific mounting system without moving to a bulkier tactical-style platform.

About the EAW Slide-on Mount for Sako 75, 34 mm

The EAW Slide-on Mount for Sako 75, 34 mm is a rifle-specific detachable mount made for shooters using a 34 mm riflescope on compatible Sako actions. Its main advantage is the combination of a Sako-matched lower interface with a larger-diameter upper ring format, which suits modern scopes often chosen for hunting optics and precision-oriented field use. A 34 mm tube is commonly found on scopes with larger adjustment travel or more robust internals, so this mount is well suited to rifles that carry full-size contemporary optics rather than older slim-tube designs.

The aluminium construction helps keep overall system weight moderate, which matters on a hunting rifle that may be carried for long periods. At the same time, the mount remains purpose-built rather than universal, giving it a cleaner fit on the listed Sako platforms. As part of the EAW slide-on system, it is intended for users who value the ability to remove and reinstall the scope as needed, whether for transport, storage, or changing between sighting setups. That makes it especially practical on rifles used across different seasons or roles.

Compatibility across numerous Sako 75, Sako 85 and classic Sako models also adds flexibility for owners of more than one rifle within the same family. Instead of adapting a generic mount to the action, this model follows EAW’s traditional approach of matching the mount to the firearm, which is one of the reasons these systems remain relevant for sporting rifles with dedicated receiver geometry.

About EAW

EAW traces its history to 1919, when Ernst Apel founded the company in Würzburg, Germany. In 1923, he acquired Elektro-Dental-Werke Frankfurt and changed the EDW brand to EAW, meaning Ernst Apel Würzburg. The company produced its first riflescope mounts in 1945, and since 1951 the development and production of scope mounts have been its primary focus.

Over time, EAW became particularly known for rifle-specific mounting solutions made in Germany, including pivot mounts, slide-on or roll-off mounts, and claw mounts. Production moved from Würzburg to Gerbrunn in 1970, and Ernst Apel GmbH is now headquartered in Eibelstadt, Germany. Alongside its traditional sporting mounts, EAW has also expanded into newer tactical mounting solutions and related sighting equipment, but precision mounting systems remain central to the brand’s identity.
