DD Optics Pirschler 8x45

• Abbe/Koenig roof prisms: this prism design supports high light transmission and a bright, high-contrast image, which is especially useful for hunting binoculars in woodland, at dawn, and in the last light of the day.
• 8x45 optical format: the combination of 8x magnification and a 45 mm objective gives a steady view with useful low-light performance while keeping the binoculars more manageable than larger 56 mm models.
• Wide 134.75 m field of view: a broad view at 1,000 m makes it easier to scan edges, track moving game, and keep orientation in dense cover where targets appear and disappear quickly.
• 20 mm eye relief: the long eye relief improves comfort during extended observation and helps eyeglass wearers see the full image more easily without fighting for correct eye position.
• Magnesium, nitrogen-filled housing: the light but rigid body, IPX-7 waterproofing, and fogproof construction make the binoculars more dependable in rain, cold mornings, and changing temperatures.

About the DD Optics Pirschler Series

The DD Optics Pirschler series sits in the brand’s hunting and low-light binocular range and is built around a clear field priority: dependable image brightness, practical handling, and mechanical durability for real use outdoors. The series includes both 45 mm and 56 mm models, with the 45 mm versions aimed at stalking and mobile hunting, while the larger 56 mm models are intended for twilight observation and longer sessions in poor light.

A defining feature of the range is its use of Abbe–König prisms, CT glass, and DDlucid coatings. In practice, this combination is meant to deliver strong light transmission, natural colour rendering, and the kind of contrast that helps separate detail from shadow when conditions are less than ideal. The series also uses magnesium housings with a secure armour finish, and the binoculars are nitrogen-filled and waterproof for field use in wet and changeable weather. Across the line, Pirschler binoculars are designed as hunting-focused all-rounders with an emphasis on low-light performance rather than compactness alone.

About the DD Optics Pirschler 8x45

The DD Optics Pirschler 8x45 is the more mobile interpretation of the Pirschler concept. Its 8x magnification gives a calm, easy-to-hold image that suits stalking, woodland observation, and general hunting use where a wide overview matters more than maximum reach. Paired with a 45 mm objective lens, it offers a useful balance between brightness and portability, making it easier to carry over long distances than a larger twilight binocular while still giving solid low-light capability.

The optical layout is built around Abbe/Koenig roof prisms and fully multicoated lenses. That matters in practice because it helps preserve image brightness and contrast in difficult light, while the 134.75 m field of view at 1,000 m makes scanning hedgerows, woodland edges, and open transitions faster and more natural. A 5.63 mm exit pupil supports relaxed viewing in dim conditions, and the 20.00 mm eye relief is a real advantage for eyeglass wearers or anyone spending long periods behind the binocular.

Mechanically, the binocular uses an open-bridge magnesium body with central focusing, which gives a secure grip and straightforward one-handed handling in the field. The right-eye diopter adjustment allows precise tuning to the user’s eyesight, and the IPX-7 waterproof, nitrogen-filled construction helps the Pirschler 8x45 stay reliable in rain, cold air, and rapid temperature changes. Altogether, it is a hunting binocular designed for users who want a bright, steady image without moving to a heavier 56 mm format.

About DD Optics

DD Optics is a German family-owned optics company headquartered in Chemnitz, Germany. The company says it was founded in 2007 in Dresden and moved its headquarters to Chemnitz in 2012. DD Optics develops and sells binoculars, spotting scopes, rifle scopes, and night-vision devices, with a product focus that covers hunting, nature observation, birdwatching, and general outdoor use.

For this category, the brand is particularly known for combining German product development with production that is mainly carried out in Japan. Its binocular range spans practical field models through to more specialized low-light optics, and the company uses proprietary terms such as DDlucid coatings for its lens-treatment systems. In the hunting-optics segment, DD Optics has built its reputation around robust mechanical construction, clear optical priorities, and model ranges that are tailored to specific observation tasks rather than one-size-fits-all designs.
