Athlon Midas Flare 1x

• Etched APX1 Reticle: The APX1 reticle with a 6 MOA center dot is etched directly onto the glass, so it stays visible and usable even with the illumination switched off or a depleted battery, which keeps the sight dependable in any situation.
• Selectable Red/Green Illumination: The reticle can be illuminated in red or green at multiple brightness levels, letting you choose the color and intensity with the best contrast against the background and light conditions.
• Compact Prism Design with Fast Focus Eyepiece: The prism-based optical system keeps the sight short at 76 mm, while the fast focus eyepiece lets you adjust the reticle sharpness to your own eyesight for a crisp aiming point.
• Smart Power Management: The sight switches off automatically after 3 hours without adjustment and returns to the last used brightness setting after a battery change, saving battery life without extra handling.

ABOUT THE ATHLON MIDAS SERIES

The Athlon Midas dot sight series brings together Athlon's compact red dots, prism sights, and magnifiers for close- and medium-range shooting. The series is aimed at shooters who want fast target acquisition on rifles, pistol-caliber carbines, shotguns, and handguns, whether for competition, hunting, or personal defense.

The line covers several sight types. Pistol red dots such as the Midas EDC, Midas EDC Pro, Midas Beam, Midas Burst, and Midas Flash are built for slide mounting. Rail-mounted red dot sights such as the Midas Strobe and Midas Blaze are intended for long guns. The Midas Flare prism sights are available in 1×, 3×, and 5× versions with an etched reticle, and the Midas M3 and M5 magnifiers extend the effective range of a red dot when placed behind it.

Midas sights share a practical design approach: fully multi-coated lenses for a clear, bright sight picture, aluminum housings for durability, and sealed construction for reliable use in wet and changing weather. Long battery life and simple controls make the sights easy to operate under pressure. This makes the Midas series a versatile choice for shooters building a complete close-range and mid-range sighting setup within one product family.

ABOUT THE MODEL (ATHLON MIDAS FLARE 1X)

The Athlon Midas Flare 1x is a 1× prism sight with a 22 mm objective lens, designed for fast target acquisition and quick transitions between targets at short and medium ranges. It suits AR-platform rifles and other carbines used for competition, hunting, and home defense.

Unlike a reflex red dot, the Flare uses a prism to form the image, which allows a compact housing while maintaining a crisp, clear sight picture. The APX1 reticle features a 6 MOA center dot and is etched on the glass, so the point of aim stays consistent and the reticle remains visible in black even when the illumination is off. The fast focus eyepiece brings the reticle into sharp focus for the individual shooter's eyesight.

Illumination is controlled by + and − buttons on the left side of the housing. Pressing both buttons together switches between red and green, and a lock mode prevents accidental changes. The Smart Power Management system turns the unit off after 3 hours without adjustment and restores the last brightness setting after a new CR2032 battery is installed.

As a prism optic, the Flare 1x has a defined eye relief of 86 mm (3.38"), so it should be positioned on the rail to give a full field of view in your normal shooting stance. The capped turrets adjust in 1 MOA clicks, approximately 2.9 cm at 100 m, and the turret caps double as adjustment tools, so no extra tool is needed in the field. The included Picatinny mount provides a 1.57" center height. The one-piece aircraft-grade aluminum chassis is nitrogen-purged, waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof.
