Zeiss DTC 3/38

The ZEISS DTC 3/38 is a high-performance front-mount thermal clip-on engineered for long-range observation in open terrain. Featuring a large format Germanium lens (38 mm, f/1.0) and a high-sensitivity 384×288 sensor with 12 µm pixel pitch and NETD ≤ 28 mK, it delivers crisp, detailed thermal imagery with exceptional clarity.

Its field of view spans approximately 12.3 m × 7.0 m at 100 m (7° × 5°), while the detection range extends up to 1,950 m for precise target identification at distance. The device uses 1× optical magnification to offer a wide field of view when used in front of your daytime optic. Since your day scope already provides magnification, this design allows the user to zoom in naturally on the thermal image through the scope, without introducing additional distortion or complexity.

About the ZEISS DTC 3 Series

The ZEISS DTC 3 series marks ZEISS’s first thermal clip-on design, combining high-definition AMOLED display (1024×768 at 50 Hz), intuitive ErgoControl ergonomics, and an app-based zeroing assistant via the ZEISS Hunting App. Models include the DTC 3/25 for wide-field overview and the DTC 3/38 for extended-distance clarity.
