Vortex Strike Eagle 5-25x56 FFP

• 5-25x magnification range: Covers the span from deliberate mid-range work to precise long-range shooting, so the scope remains useful on rifles set up for target practice, competition, or extended-distance field use.
• First focal plane illuminated reticle: The reticle stays proportionally correct throughout the zoom range, making holdovers and ranging more consistent at any magnification, while red illumination helps the aiming point stand out against darker targets.
• Locking tactical turrets with Zero Stop: Exposed turrets support fast elevation and windage corrections, the locking function helps prevent accidental movement, and the zero-stop system gives a reliable return to the original zero after dialing.
• 34 mm tube with 31.00 mrad elevation travel: The large adjustment range gives more room for dialing at distance, which is especially useful for long-range rifles and loads that require substantial elevation correction.
• 56 mm objective and fully multicoated optics: The large front lens and coated optical system support a bright, clear image with good contrast, helping the shooter read targets and conditions more easily in varied light.

About the Vortex Strike Eagle Series

Vortex Strike Eagle sits in the brand’s lineup as a series for value-minded shooters who want practical features for real use rather than a stripped-down entry model. The family spans both low-power variable optics for fast target acquisition and higher-magnification riflescopes intended for longer-range shooting, which gives the series a broad role across recreational shooting, competition, and general-purpose tactical setups. Current configurations include 1-10x24, 3-18x44, and 5-25x56, showing how the line is built to cover very different rifles and shooting distances.

Across the series, Strike Eagle models focus on useful reticle systems, durable construction, and straightforward controls. Depending on the model, the line includes both first- and second-focal-plane designs, with reticle options such as AR-BDC and EBR patterns matched to different shooting styles. In practice, that means the series can serve anything from close-range carbine work to more deliberate dialing and holdover-based shooting at distance. The overall design philosophy is practical: solid mechanical layout, modern reticle choices, and optical performance aimed at helping shooters get repeatable results without moving into Vortex’s more premium product families.

About the Vortex Strike Eagle 5-25x56 FFP

The Vortex Strike Eagle 5-25x56 FFP is the long-range member of the Strike Eagle family, built for shooters who need enough magnification for precise target work while still keeping a usable low end for finding and centering targets efficiently. Its 5-25x zoom range makes it well suited to precision shooting, competition, and extended-distance range use, where one rifle may be asked to engage at several very different distances in the same session. The 56.00 mm objective helps maintain a bright sight picture, while the fully multicoated optical system supports contrast and clarity that make target edges, splash, and environmental detail easier to read.

A major part of this model’s appeal is its first focal plane reticle. Because the reticle scales with magnification, subtensions remain valid throughout the zoom range, which is a practical advantage for shooters who alternate between holding and dialing rather than staying at one fixed power. Red illumination adds visibility when the reticle would otherwise blend into dark backgrounds or shaded targets.

The mechanical layout is equally focused on long-range use. Locking tactical turrets are designed for active dialing without giving up security during transport or movement, and the Zero Stop system makes it faster to return to a known baseline after elevation changes. With 31.00 mrad elevation and 23.00 mrad windage adjustment, plus 10 MRAD per turn, the scope offers the travel and turret format expected on a modern tactical riflescope. Side parallax adjustment from 13 m - inf helps keep the image and reticle relationship clean across changing distances, and the fast-focus eyepiece speeds up reticle sharpening for different users.

About Vortex

Vortex traces its roots to a Wild Birds Unlimited store opened by the Hamilton family in Madison, Wisconsin, in 1986. The Vortex brand entered the sport optics market in 2002, and the company is now headquartered in Barneveld, Wisconsin. It is employee-owned and operated and focuses on sport optics for hunting, shooting, and outdoor use.

The company’s catalog covers riflescopes, binoculars, spotting scopes, laser rangefinders, and red dot sights, with product families such as Razor, Viper, and Kaibab. Vortex also integrates ballistic tools powered by GeoBallistics technology, reflecting its emphasis on practical field and shooting applications. In 2022, Vortex was selected to produce and deliver fire-control systems for the U.S. Army’s Next Generation Squad Weapons program, which underlines the company’s credibility in aiming and observation systems relevant to tactical optics.
