Vortex Crossfire II 2-7x32 Scout

• Long scout eye relief: The fixed 240.00 mm eye relief is designed for forward mounting on scout rifles, giving more room to cycle the action and maintain awareness around the rifle.
• 2-7x magnification range: The 2.00 x to 7.00 x zoom span covers fast, short-range shooting at the low end and more deliberate shot placement at medium distances at the high end.
• Fully multicoated optics: Anti-reflective lens coatings help the scope deliver a brighter, clearer image with better contrast, which is especially useful in mixed light and shaded woodland conditions.
• Capped MOA turrets: 1/4 MOA click adjustments under protective caps help prevent accidental movement in the field while still allowing precise zeroing and straightforward corrections.
• Weather-sealed, nitrogen-filled construction: Waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof build quality helps the scope stay dependable through rain, temperature changes, and recoil on practical hunting rifles.

About the Vortex Crossfire II Series

Vortex Crossfire II sits in the brand's lineup as an economical riflescope family built for shooters who want dependable field performance without moving into heavier or more specialized optics. The series is aimed largely at hunting use, and it combines the core features most shooters actually rely on: long eye relief, a fast-focus eyepiece, fully multi-coated lenses, and resettable MOA turrets. That formula makes the range broad in application, from simple stalking setups to general-purpose hunting rifles and compact carbines.

Within the series, Vortex offers several configurations rather than a single layout. Reticle options such as V-Plex and Dead-Hold BDC allow the line to cover both straightforward sight pictures and holdover-oriented use, while some models add illuminated reticles or adjustable objectives for more specialized roles. The design philosophy is practical: keep the controls familiar, the image clear, and the mechanical layout easy to live with in the field. As a result, Crossfire II scopes are known less for complexity than for offering a balanced mix of usable magnification ranges, accessible handling, and optical features that suit everyday hunting rifles.

About the Vortex Crossfire II 2-7x32 Scout

The Vortex Crossfire II 2-7x32 Scout is built around the needs of a forward-mounted scout rifle, where speed, balance, and access to the rifle's action matter as much as magnification. Its defining feature is the 240.00 mm eye relief, which allows the scope to sit well ahead of the receiver while still giving a full sight picture. In practice, that setup preserves the handling qualities that make scout rifles appealing: quick shouldering, easier loading and ejection access, and a less crowded receiver area.

The 2.00 x-7.00 x magnification range makes the scope flexible enough for short-range snap shots and more careful aiming at moderate distance. At low power, the wider field of view helps with target acquisition on moving game or in tighter terrain; at higher power, the image scale is better suited to precise placement. The 32.00 mm objective lens, combined with fully multicoated optics, supports a bright, clean image without making the scope bulky, which suits lightweight hunting rifles and compact field setups.

This model uses a second focal plane reticle layout, so the reticle appearance stays visually consistent through the zoom range. The fixed 100 m parallax setting keeps operation simple, while the capped turrets protect the adjustments from unintended movement during carry. With 1/4 MOA clicks, 60.00 MOA of elevation and windage travel, a fast-focus eyepiece, and a waterproof, fogproof, shockproof housing, the scope is configured for practical hunting and general-purpose field shooting rather than constant dialing or highly specialized long-range work.

About Vortex

Vortex traces its roots to a Wild Birds Unlimited store opened by the Hamilton family in Madison, Wisconsin, in 1986. The company entered the sport optics market in 2002, and it is now headquartered in Barneveld, Wisconsin as an employee-owned and operated business. Vortex focuses on optics for hunting, shooting, and outdoor use, with product categories that include riflescopes, binoculars, spotting scopes, laser rangefinders, and red dots.

Within the shooting and hunting optics market, Vortex is known for maintaining broad product families such as Razor, Viper, and Kaibab, while also developing digital ballistic tools powered by GeoBallistics technology. Its work has extended beyond the commercial market as well; in 2022, Vortex was selected to produce and deliver fire-control systems for the U.S. Army's Next Generation Squad Weapons program. That background gives the brand a strong footing across both recreational and professional optics applications.
