Sightron S6 5-30x56 ED

• 5-30x magnification range: This wide zoom span lets the scope cover precise mid-range work and true long-range shooting in one optic, so the rifle can stay set up for varied distances instead of a narrow use case.
• 56 mm objective with ED glass: The large front lens and extra-low-dispersion glass help maintain a bright, sharp image with reduced color fringing, which makes target detail easier to read in difficult light and at high magnification.
• First focal plane illuminated reticle: Because the reticle stays in scale throughout the zoom range, holdovers and corrections remain consistent at any magnification, while red illumination helps the aiming point stand out against dark backgrounds.
• Tactical zero-stop turrets: The exposed multi-turn turrets are built for frequent dialing, and the zero stop gives a fast, repeatable return to the original zero after elevation changes in the field or on the range.
• 34 mm tube with IPX-7 waterproofing: The larger tube supports generous adjustment travel, while the waterproof, fogproof and shockproof construction suits hard use in changing weather and demanding long-range setups.

About the Sightron S6 Series

The Sightron S6 series sits in the brand’s premium variable-power riflescope range and covers a notably broad spread of applications, from 1-6x24 low-power models for fast shooting to high-magnification versions up to 10-60x56 for precision work. Within the lineup, the series is defined by its 6x zoom ratio, giving shooters more flexibility to move between close, intermediate and extended distances without changing optics.

Across the range, S6 models are built around features associated with serious hunting optics and tactical optics, including ED glass and Zact-7 Revcoat Plus lens coatings for improved clarity, contrast and control of chromatic aberration. The series also spans different reticle layouts and focal-plane configurations depending on the model, which allows the platform to serve fast practical shooting, long-range tactical use and hunting roles. In the higher-magnification S6 scopes, the design emphasis shifts toward precise aiming, repeatable adjustment and strong optical performance at distance, while the low-power versions focus more on speed and field awareness.

About the Sightron S6 5-30x56 ED

The Sightron S6 5-30x56 ED is built for shooters who need one riflescope to handle both deliberate medium-range work and demanding long-range engagements. Its 5-30x magnification range gives enough low-end power for finding and centering targets efficiently, while the top end supports precise shot placement, target observation and reading small details at distance. Combined with a 56.00 mm objective, the scope is well suited to situations where image brightness and target definition matter as magnification rises.

This model uses a first focal plane reticle with red illumination, which is especially useful on a tactical riflescope because the reticle subtensions remain true throughout the zoom range. That means holdovers and wind calls can be applied consistently instead of being tied to one magnification setting. The illuminated aiming point also helps when the target is dark, the background is cluttered or light is fading.

Mechanically, the scope is configured for regular dialing. The 34 mm main tube provides room for substantial adjustment travel, with 22.30 mrad elevation and 17.50 mrad windage available. Tactical multi-turn turrets and a zero-stop system support repeatable elevation changes and a quick return to zero after a stage, a hunt or a long shot. Side-focus parallax adjustment from 9.14 m to inf. helps keep the image and reticle aligned across a wide distance range, which is important when shooting from improvised positions or at small targets where parallax error becomes more noticeable. At 945.00 g and 424.00 mm, it is a substantial optic, but that size matches its long-range role and large objective design.

About Sightron

Sightron was originally based in Miami, Florida, and later moved its headquarters to North Carolina. The company first focused on red-dot sights before expanding into hunting riflescopes and target scopes, which helps explain the breadth of its current optics catalog. Today, Sightron produces riflescopes, binoculars and spotting scopes, with a strong emphasis on products for hunting and target shooting.

In riflescopes, the brand is particularly known for Japanese-made models and for features such as ExacTrack, its windage and elevation adjustment system used in several series, and Zact-7 Revcoat, its lens multicoating technology. Its lineup includes established series such as SII, SIIB Big Sky, SIII, S-TAC and SV, covering everything from general hunting use to more specialized precision and target applications.
