Shield Sights CQB Mount for Elcan Spectre

• Elcan Spectre-specific fit: This mount is made to place a Shield CQB-pattern sight on an Elcan Spectre, giving a clean, purpose-built interface instead of relying on improvised adapters.
• Shield CQB mounting standard: The mount uses the Shield CQB interface, so it is suited to compatible Shield sight systems and keeps the installation consistent across the platform.
• Aluminium construction: The aluminium body keeps weight under control while providing the rigidity needed for a stable optic mounting point on a hard-use rifle setup.
• Matte black finish: The black matte surface reduces glare and blends visually with the host optic and rifle, which is useful on both duty-style and sporting builds.
• Compact auxiliary sight solution: By positioning a compact sight on top of the primary optic, the mount supports faster transitions to close-range aiming while retaining the magnified or prism-based main sight below.

About the Shield SMS/RMS Series

Shield Sights SMS/RMS mounting products cover a broad family of interfaces built around the company’s compact reflex sight footprint. Within the range, Shield offers pistol slide plates, Picatinny and Weaver adapters, and dedicated mounts for rifles, shotguns, and scope-based setups. That breadth makes the series relevant to users who want to move a mini red dot concept across very different firearms without changing to an unrelated mounting ecosystem.

In practical terms, the SMS/RMS series is designed for shooters who need a compact sighting solution that can be adapted to handguns, long guns, and specialist host optics. The line includes mounts for standard 30 mm and 34 mm scope tubes, as well as purpose-specific adapters for platforms where a direct fit is more secure and more streamlined than a universal clamp-on approach. The common theme across the series is a low-profile, application-specific mounting philosophy that keeps Shield mini sights useful as primary optics on compact firearms or as secondary sights on larger systems.

About the Shield Sights CQB Mount for Elcan Spectre

The Shield Sights CQB Mount for Elcan Spectre is a dedicated fixed mount for shooters who want to add a compact auxiliary sight to an Elcan Spectre setup. Rather than using a generic rail solution, this mount is shaped around that host optic application, which helps create a neater installation and a more integrated overall package. For rifles already set up with a prism or combat optic, that matters because the secondary sight needs to be easy to access without adding unnecessary bulk.

The mount uses the Shield CQB mounting standard and is compatible above with the Shield RMS mounting standard, making it relevant for users already invested in Shield compact sight systems. In use, that kind of compatibility simplifies the process of pairing a miniature reflex sight with a primary optic intended for longer or more deliberate aiming. The result is a practical close-range option that can speed up target acquisition when distances shorten or when a wider, less constrained sight picture is preferred.

Its aluminium construction gives the mount the stiffness expected from a serious optic interface while keeping the assembly light enough for a rifle that may already carry a substantial primary sight. The matte black finish keeps reflections down and visually matches most tactical optics. As a fixed mount, it is straightforward in concept: provide a stable, purpose-built platform for a compact Shield sight on an Elcan Spectre, with minimal complication and a form factor suited to hard field use.

About Shield Sights

Shield International was formed in Great Britain in 1983, and the company has long focused on firearm sighting systems for military, law enforcement, and civilian use. Shield’s original mini red dot sight design dates to 1996, placing the brand among the early specialists in compact reflex sights rather than a later entrant following an established trend.

Over time, Shield mini red dot sights were also sold under names including Firepoint, Tasco Optima, Trijicon RedDot, and JPoint, reflecting the reach of the underlying design. The company also developed the Close Quarter Battlesight for the UK military and later introduced the civilian-oriented Close Quarter Sportsight in 2011. Today, Shield Sights remains closely associated with mini red dots and rifle sights, with an emphasis on compact sight design and practical mounting solutions built around those optics.
