Rusan Pivot Mount without Bases for Mauser M12, 25.4 mm

• Pivot quick-release design: The pivot system lets the scope come off and go back on with a repeatable fit, which is useful when a rifle must alternate between open sights and an optic or when the scope needs to be removed for transport and cleaning.
• Steel construction: A steel mount body gives this assembly the rigidity and wear resistance needed for repeated removal and reinstallation, helping the optic stay aligned over long-term use.
• Windage adjustment: Built-in lateral adjustment helps center the scope more precisely in the mounting system, reducing the need to use excessive windage correction in the riflescope itself.
• 25.4 mm ring size: The mount is made for 25.4 mm (1 inch) scope tubes, making it a practical choice for classic hunting optics that still use the traditional one-inch format.
• Without bases configuration: This version is supplied as the upper pivot mount only, making it suitable for rifles that already have compatible pivot bases installed and allowing an existing base setup to be reused.

About the Rusan Pivot Mounts Series

Rusan Pivot Mounts are part of the company’s dedicated line of firearm optics mounts, built for shooters who want a removable scope setup without giving up a solid mechanical interface. The series covers both complete pivot mounts and pivot mounts sold without bases, which makes it easier to match the mount to an existing rifle setup or to build a system around a specific action.

Within the range, Rusan offers versions for several scope tube diameters, including 26 (25.4), 30, 34, 36, and 40 mm, as well as model-specific variants for different rifles and mounting interfaces. The design philosophy is straightforward: a steel-built quick-release pivot mount that suits traditional hunting rifles and users who value a low, secure, repeatable installation. Because the series includes rifle-specific options as well as versions for other interfaces, it fits both classic sporting rifles and more specialized setups. In practice, the appeal of the series lies in combining the familiar handling of a pivot mount with the flexibility to choose the correct upper assembly for the rifle and optic already in use.

About the Rusan Pivot Mount without Bases for Mauser M12, 25.4 mm

The Rusan Pivot Mount without Bases for Mauser M12, 25.4 mm is intended for shooters who already have compatible pivot bases on the rifle and need only the upper mount assembly for a 25.4 mm (1 inch) riflescope. That makes it especially relevant for maintaining or updating an existing hunting rifle setup without replacing the entire mounting interface.

Its steel construction is important in a pivot mount because the system is designed to be removed and reattached over time. A rigid steel body helps the mount resist wear at the contact points and supports consistent scope positioning. The 0 MOA inclination keeps the setup neutral, which suits general-purpose hunting rifles and conventional zeroing distances where no built-in cant is needed.

This model also features windage adjustment, a practical advantage when aligning the scope mechanically with the rifle. By allowing lateral correction in the mount itself, it helps preserve more of the riflescope’s internal adjustment range for actual zeroing. The black finish keeps the appearance discreet and appropriate for a traditional sporting rifle. As a pivot mount without bases, it is best suited to users who want the handling benefits of a removable scope system while keeping an existing base arrangement on a Mauser M12 (pre-2019) or another listed compatible platform.

About Rusan

Rusan-Mikron is based in Marija Bistrica, Croatia, and the company’s roots in metalworking go back to 1983. The business developed from the Rusan family’s metalworking work, and Željko Rusan opened a gunsmith shop in 1986. Scope-mount production followed in 1993, establishing the company’s long-standing focus on mounting solutions for sporting and hunting firearms.

Today, Rusan is known for manufacturing scope mounts, scope rings, Picatinny rails, and firearm tuning products, along with adapter systems for clip-on devices. The company introduced its clip-on sight adapter clamp in 2009, and its catalogue also includes adapters for night-vision and thermal-imaging devices. That background is directly relevant to products like this pivot mount, where precise machining, repeatable fit, and compatibility across many rifle platforms are central to the design.
