ABOUT THE Recknagel Two-Piece Weaver Base for Savage Round Top

The Recknagel Two-Piece Weaver Base for Savage Round Top offers a cost-effective and lightweight solution for mounting a riflescope onto Savage firearms with a round top receiver. Crafted from black anodised aluminium, these bases are designed to provide a foundational interface for Weaver-style rings. While two-piece Weaver bases offer an economical entry point into scope mounting, it is crucial to understand their inherent complexity. Unlike simplified one-piece Picatinny rails, these bases demand precise alignment across height, longitudinal, and horizontal axes during installation. This meticulous setup is vital to prevent undue stress on the scope tube, which can lead to optical inaccuracies or even damage. As such, these bases are often chosen by budget-conscious hunters and recreational shooters who prioritise an affordable setup but should ideally seek professional gunsmith assistance for proper installation. The robust yet light aluminium construction ensures durability without adding excessive weight, making it a practical choice for field use.
