ABOUT THE RECKNAGEL TWO-PIECE WEAVER BASE FOR BROWNING A-BOLT III

The Recknagel Two-Piece Weaver Base for Browning A-Bolt III represents a cost-effective and lightweight solution for mounting your rifle scope. Unlike one-piece Picatinny rails, these two separate bases are designed to provide a minimalist approach to optic attachment, appealing particularly to budget-conscious hunters and recreational shooters. Made from high-grade, black anodised aluminium in Germany, they offer a foundation that is both robust and resistant to corrosion. While offering a streamlined profile, it's crucial to acknowledge the inherent complexities of installing two-piece bases. Achieving proper alignment across height, longitudinal axis, and horizontal axis is paramount to prevent any stress on the scope tube, which could lead to diminished accuracy or even optic damage. Users are strongly advised to seek professional gunsmithing services for installation to ensure optimal performance and longevity of their optical equipment. This product caters to hunters and plinkers seeking a simple, yet sturdy mounting option for their Browning A-Bolt III.

MAIN FEATURES

• Material: Constructed from high-quality, black anodised aluminium for a lightweight yet durable design.

• Compatibility: Specifically designed for Browning A-Bolt III rifles, ensuring a precise fit. Compatible with all standard Weaver rings.

• BH Height: Features a BH (base height) of 5 mm, providing a low-profile mount for optical devices.

• Weight: These two-piece bases collectively weigh approximately 50-70 g, contributing minimally to the rifle's overall mass.

• Installation: Although economical, two-piece Weaver bases require precise alignment in height, longitudinal, and horizontal axes. Professional installation by a gunsmith is strongly recommended to prevent potential scope tube stress or misalignment, which can impact accuracy.

Please note that while two-piece Weaver bases offer an economical mounting solution, installing them can be significantly more complex than a one-piece Picatinny rail. The crucial aspect lies in precisely aligning both bases in terms of height, longitudinal axis, and horizontal axis. Failure to do so can result in unequal stress on your scope's tube, leading to flex, reduced accuracy, and potential damage to the optic. For this reason, especially if you are not experienced with intricate scope mounting, we highly recommend opting for a one-piece Picatinny rail, which is generally easier for a DIY installation. If you insist on using two-piece Weaver bases, engaging a professional gunsmith for the installation is invaluable to ensure proper setup and prevent any negative impact on your shooting performance or optic's lifespan.
