RCBS Matchmaster Powder Funnel Drop Tube

• Compressed-load control: The Matchmaster Powder Funnel Drop Tube helps settle powder more efficiently in the case, which is especially useful when working with fuller charges that benefit from better case fill and more consistent loading technique.
• Built for the MatchMaster funnel system: Designed specifically for the RCBS MatchMaster Powder Funnel, it adds capability to an existing reloading setup without changing the way the funnel handles or mounts in normal bench use.
• Aluminium construction: The aluminium body keeps the accessory light, durable, and well suited to repeated bench use, while also fitting the clean, rigid feel expected from precision reloading tools.
• Expandable drop length: Multiple drop tubes can be screwed together to create a longer tube, giving reloaders a simple way to tailor powder settling performance for particular cartridges or loading preferences.
• 5/8-18 thread interface: The threaded design provides a secure connection to the compatible funnel system, helping maintain alignment and steady powder flow during careful charge handling.

About the MatchMaster Series

The RCBS MatchMaster series sits at the more precision-focused end of the company’s reloading lineup. It is built for reloaders who want tighter process control, cleaner handling, and equipment that supports careful load development rather than simple bulk output. Across the series, the emphasis is on repeatability, fit, and bench efficiency, with products designed to reduce small inconsistencies that matter more as accuracy expectations rise.

Within this family, RCBS uses the MatchMaster name for tools aimed at shooters who pay close attention to charge uniformity, cartridge preparation, and workflow. The series typically serves precision rifle reloaders, competitive shooters, and methodical handloaders who want accessories that integrate neatly into a more refined loading setup. In practical terms, MatchMaster products focus on controlled powder handling, precise adjustment, and modular compatibility, so the user can build a system around specific cartridges and loading methods. That design approach makes the series a natural fit for reloaders who value consistency from one round to the next.

About the RCBS Matchmaster Powder Funnel Drop Tube

The RCBS Matchmaster Powder Funnel Drop Tube is a specialized reloading accessory made to work with the RCBS MatchMaster Powder Funnel. Its purpose is straightforward but important: it helps condense powder as it enters the case, which is particularly helpful when assembling loads that approach higher fill levels. By improving how powder settles, the drop tube can make the charging step more controlled and reduce the need to interrupt the process when working with compressed or nearly compressed loads.

This accessory is especially relevant for reloaders who want a more deliberate powder-charging routine for rifle cartridges. Instead of treating the funnel as a simple transfer point, the drop tube turns it into a more useful part of a precision loading setup. The 5/8-18 thread gives it a secure, purpose-built connection to the compatible funnel, while the aluminium construction keeps it light and durable for frequent bench use. RCBS also allows multiple drop tubes to be joined together, which gives the reloader a practical way to increase drop length when a longer settling path is beneficial. The result is a simple accessory that supports cleaner case filling and a more controlled approach to powder handling.

About RCBS

RCBS was founded in 1943 by Fred T. Huntington in Oroville, California. The company name came from “Rock Chuck Bullet Swage,” the original bullet-swaging die that started the business. From that beginning, RCBS developed into a specialist in ammunition handloading and reloading equipment for rifle and pistol cartridges.

RCBS is still based in Oroville, California, United States, and its catalog covers the core tools reloaders use at the bench, including presses, dies, shell holders, powder measures, and priming tools. The brand is particularly well known for building complete reloading systems rather than isolated accessories, which is why products such as the MatchMaster series fit naturally into a broader workflow. That long focus on practical bench equipment has given RCBS a strong reputation among reloaders who want durable, purpose-built tools for consistent ammunition assembly.
