Pixfra Chiron C450 LRF

• Integrated 1000 m laser rangefinder: measures distance inside the scope view and works with the ballistic calculator, helping the shooter make faster hold decisions without moving off target.
• 384x288, 12.00 μm thermal sensor: combines practical base magnification with a compact pixel pitch for clear target definition and dependable detection in darkness, haze, and difficult backgrounds.
• 20.00 mK NETD sensitivity: reveals small temperature differences more clearly, which helps separate animals or other heat sources from cluttered terrain and changing weather conditions.
• 50.00 Hz refresh rate with OLED display: keeps the image smooth during scanning and tracking, while the 1440x1080 OLED screen presents detail with strong contrast for easier observation.
• Video, image capture, WiFi and recoil-activated recording support: makes it easier to document shots, review activity, and connect the scope to a mobile device for a more flexible field setup.

About the Pixfra Chiron Series

Pixfra Chiron is Pixfra’s thermal riflescope family for hunters and outdoor users who need a dedicated sighting system rather than a handheld viewer. In the current catalog, the line includes both Chiron and Chiron LRF models, giving users a choice between standard thermal scopes and versions with an integrated laser rangefinder. Across the series, Pixfra uses 12 μm vanadium oxide uncooled focal plane detectors, with models offered in 384 × 288 and 640 × 512 resolutions to suit different budgets and detection needs.

A defining part of the series is its practical field layout. Rotary-knob menu control keeps operation simple when wearing gloves or working in darkness, while Pixfra’s PIPS image processing is designed to keep image latency below 20 ms for a more immediate view when scanning or following moving game. Chiron LRF versions add a 1000 m laser rangefinder and an integrated ballistic calculator, making them especially relevant for hunting situations where distance changes quickly. The series also supports recoil-activated recording, and Pixfra positions it for hunting and outdoor exploration where thermal detection, straightforward handling, and integrated ranging matter more than unnecessary complexity.

About the Pixfra Chiron C450 LRF

Pixfra Chiron C450 LRF is the longer-range 384-resolution model in the Chiron LRF family, built around a 4.21 x optical magnification and a 50.00 mm F 1.0 objective lens. That combination gives it a narrower, more target-focused view than short-range thermal scopes, which is useful when the priority is positive target observation and shot placement at extended distances rather than wide-area scanning. With a stated 2600.00 m detection range, it is configured for users who need thermal reach in open ground and low-light hunting conditions.

The thermal core uses a 384x288 VOx uncooled sensor with 12.00 μm pixel pitch, 20.00 mK NETD, and a 50.00 Hz refresh rate. In practice, this means the scope is tuned not just to detect heat, but to show finer temperature separation and smoother movement, which helps when animals blend into uneven backgrounds or when tracking moving targets. The 1440x1080 OLED display supports a crisp viewing image, while the multi-reticle system gives the shooter flexibility to match the aiming view to the task.

Its integrated 1000.00 m laser rangefinder and ballistic software are central to the C450 LRF’s role. Distance can be measured directly in the internal display with +/- 1 m accuracy, reducing guesswork before the shot. Video recording, image capture, video output, and WiFi connectivity add useful documentation and sharing functions, while the compact 223.40 mm body and 632.00 g weight help keep the rifle setup manageable. Power comes from an 18650 battery with up to 8.00 h of runtime, and the waterproof, fogproof housing is built for regular field use in temperatures from -30°C to +55°C.

About Pixfra

Pixfra is the outdoor brand of Zhejiang Pixfra Technology Co., Ltd., based in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China. The company focuses on thermal imaging technology across several product areas, including thermal imaging modules and cores, outdoor devices, cameras, and related solutions. Within its outdoor lineup, Pixfra covers categories such as thermal monoculars, thermal scopes, thermal front attachments, multispectral binoculars, and digital day-and-night scopes.

For this product category, Pixfra’s relevance comes from its concentration on practical thermal devices for hunting, outdoor exploration, and animal observation. Its product families show a clear structure, with lines such as Mile, Arc, and Chiron addressing different use cases and price levels. Pixfra also uses its own image-processing approach in its thermal products, including PIPS 2.0 in the Mile 2 series, reflecting the brand’s emphasis on image handling and responsive operation rather than simple sensor specifications alone.
