Nikon Prostaff P7 8x30

• Wide 8.7° field of view: The broad view makes it easier to pick up birds in flight, follow moving wildlife, or scan a landscape without feeling tunnelled in.
• Compact 8x30 format: This binocular keeps useful 8x magnification in a lighter, shorter body, so it is easier to carry all day on hikes, travel, and general outdoor use.
• 15.4 mm eye relief: The generous eye relief helps eyeglass wearers see more of the full image comfortably and reduces the need for exact eye placement.
• Waterproof and fogproof construction: O-ring sealing and nitrogen filling help the binocular stay reliable when moving between cold and warm conditions or using it in rain and damp air.
• Close focus to 2.50 m: The short close-focus distance is useful for observing nearby subjects such as butterflies, plants, and detail at viewing platforms or woodland edges.

About the Nikon Prostaff P7 Series

The Nikon Prostaff P7 series was introduced on June 9, 2022 as the successor to the PROSTAFF 7S line, giving Nikon’s PROSTAFF binocular range a more refined option for general outdoor observation. Positioned as the top tier within the PROSTAFF binocular family, the series is built for users who want a practical balance of portability, weather resistance, and optical quality for birdwatching, hiking, nature observation, and sports events.

Across the range, Nikon uses roof prisms with phase-correction and dielectric high-reflective multilayer coatings, together with multilayer-coated lenses and prisms to support a bright, clear image with good contrast. The series also adds oil- and water-repellent coatings on the objective and eyepiece lenses, which helps keep the view usable in wet weather and makes the glass easier to wipe clean. A locking diopter adjustment ring is another defining feature, helping the binocular hold its setting during transport and regular field use. The lineup includes 8x30, 10x30, 8x42, 10x42, 10x50, and 12x50 models, all built as waterproof and fogproof binoculars with nitrogen gas and O-ring seals.

About the Nikon Prostaff P7 8x30

The Nikon Prostaff P7 8x30 is the most compact wide-angle model in the series, combining 8x magnification with a 30.00 mm objective lens in a body that remains easy to pack and comfortable to carry for long periods. That configuration suits users who need a binocular for mixed outdoor use rather than a specialist low-light instrument: it gives enough reach for birds, wildlife, and distant details while keeping handling quick and steady. The wide 152.00 m/1000m field of view is especially useful when scanning woodland edges, following moving subjects, or locating a target quickly before settling into more careful observation.

The optical layout also supports comfortable everyday viewing. An exit pupil of 3.75 mm and 15.40 mm eye relief help make the image easy to acquire, while the close focus distance of 2.50 m adds versatility for nearby subjects. The central focusing system keeps operation simple and fast, and the diopter adjustment on the left eyepiece allows the binocular to be tuned to the user’s eyesight. With a 485.00 g weight and a single-hinge body, the Prostaff P7 8x30 remains compact in the hand without becoming awkward to hold. Waterproof and fogproof construction with nitrogen filling makes it a practical choice for changing weather, travel, and regular field use where a binocular may move between cool mornings, damp air, and warmer indoor conditions.
