Nikko Stirling Diamond Hunting 3-12x62 IR

• Large 62 mm objective: gathers more light at dawn, dusk and in dense woodland, helping the image stay brighter when game is most active.
• 3-12x magnification range: covers fast shots at shorter distances and still provides enough detail for more deliberate placement farther out.
• 4A IR Dot reticle: gives a clear central aiming point in poor light, while the simple hunting layout stays uncluttered against dark backgrounds.
• 30 mm nitrogen-filled tube: combines solid internal adjustment travel with waterproof, fogproof and shockproof construction for dependable field use in changing weather.
• Fully multicoated optics: reduce glare and light loss across the lens surfaces, improving contrast and helping the sight picture remain usable in difficult light.

About the Nikko Stirling Diamond Hunting Series

Nikko Stirling Diamond Hunting sits in the brand's hunting-focused riflescope range as a 30 mm tube series built for practical field use, especially in the low-light periods when many hunters are active. The line includes several familiar hunting configurations, from compact driven-hunt models to more versatile mid-range options, including 3-12x variants with 42 mm, 56 mm and 62 mm objectives. That spread gives the series broad appeal for woodland stalking, high-seat hunting and general-purpose rifle setups.

A defining feature of the series is its emphasis on visibility in difficult light. Nikko Stirling equips these scopes with ETE Microlux optical coatings to reduce reflection from lens surfaces, while illuminated versions use red or green reticles to keep the aiming point easy to pick up at dawn, twilight and in shaded forest conditions. Across the range, the shared design philosophy is straightforward and durable: multicoated lenses, nitrogen filling, and waterproof and shock-proof construction in a hunting scope format that stays simple to operate in the field.

About the Nikko Stirling Diamond Hunting 3-12x62 IR

The Nikko Stirling Diamond Hunting 3-12x62 IR is built for hunters who want a versatile magnification range combined with stronger low-light performance than a smaller-objective scope can usually provide. Its 3-12x magnification makes it suitable for everything from closer woodland shots to more measured shooting across open ground, while the 62 mm objective lens is aimed squarely at dawn and dusk use, where image brightness and target definition matter most.

The scope uses a 4A IR Dot reticle in the second focal plane, a practical arrangement for traditional hunting rifles. Because the reticle size stays visually constant through the zoom range, it remains easy to see at both low and high magnification. The illuminated red center dot helps draw the eye to the aiming point in dim conditions without turning the sight picture into a busy tactical layout. As the illumination is not intended for bright daylight, it is best suited to the low-light situations this model is designed around.

Mechanically, this riflescope keeps things straightforward. Capped turrets protect the adjustments from accidental movement during transport and field carry, which suits a hunting optic that is normally zeroed and left alone. The 1/4 MOA click value allows precise zeroing, and the 30 mm tube provides a robust platform with useful adjustment range. A fixed 90.00 mm eye relief supports comfortable shooting on hunting rifles, while the fast-focus eyepiece helps bring the reticle into sharp focus quickly. With fully multicoated lenses, nitrogen filling, and waterproof, fogproof and shockproof construction, the scope is configured for regular use in wet, cold and changeable conditions.

About Nikko Stirling

Nikko Stirling traces its beginnings to 1956, when it was established by Malcolm John Fuller. The brand focuses on sport optics for hunters and marksmen, with a catalogue that covers riflescopes, laser rangefinders, binoculars and reflex sights. Its riflescope families include Diamond Hunting, Diamond FFP, Metor, Panamax, Airking and Mountmaster, showing a product range that spans traditional hunting optics, precision-oriented models and airgun scopes.

Within the broader optics category, Nikko Stirling also offers NSLRF laser rangefinders, Metor HD binoculars, and reflex sights such as the PRO-T5, PRO-T4 and XT4. That mix gives the brand a clear identity in practical field optics rather than general outdoor accessories. For riflescopes like the Diamond Hunting series, Nikko Stirling is known for combining straightforward mechanical layouts with hunting-oriented reticles and configurations suited to real-world shooting conditions.
