Meprolight Tru-Dot for H&K 45C

• Self-illuminated tritium sight picture: The Meprolight Tru-Dot uses tritium inserts that stay visible in low light and darkness without batteries, so the pistol remains ready for defensive or duty use at any hour.
• Three-dot alignment: A fixed 3-dot layout gives a familiar sight picture that is easy to read under stress, helping the shooter pick up the front sight quickly and confirm alignment faster.
• Steel construction: The sight set is built from steel, giving it the durability needed for daily carry, repeated holstering, and hard use on a working handgun.
• Fixed configuration: With a fixed rear and front sight setup, this model favors simplicity and consistent zero retention, which suits service pistols and concealed-carry handguns.
• H&K 45C fit: Designed for the H&K 45C, this sight set serves as a direct replacement for factory sights, making it a practical upgrade for shooters who want better low-light visibility without changing the handling of the pistol.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot Series

Meprolight Tru-Dot sights are Meprolight’s established family of self-illuminated handgun sights, built for shooters who want a simple iron-sight system that works in both daylight and reduced light. The series includes fixed, adjustable, and suppressor-height variants, all intended as replacement sights for compatible pistols. Across the range, the core idea stays the same: a three-dot sight picture that remains familiar and easy to interpret whether the pistol is used on the range, for concealed carry, or in professional service.

A defining feature of the series is its tritium illumination, which provides a visible aiming reference without batteries or manual activation. That matters on a defensive handgun, where the sight picture needs to be available immediately rather than after pressing a switch. The Tru-Dot line also spans models for many handgun platforms and includes versions with different dot color arrangements on selected models. In practical terms, the series is aimed at shooters who prefer a robust, low-maintenance sighting system with the speed of a bright three-dot layout and the familiarity of conventional iron sights.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot for H&K 45C

The Meprolight Tru-Dot for H&K 45C is a dedicated night-sight set for shooters who want to keep the compact handling of the H&K pistol while improving visibility in poor light. Its self-illuminated tritium design keeps the aiming reference available around the clock, which is especially useful on a carry or home-defense handgun that may be needed in dim interiors, at dusk, or at night. Because the system does not rely on batteries, there is no power management to think about and no activation step before use.

This model uses a fixed 3-dot arrangement with green tritium dots, giving the shooter a familiar sight picture that is easy to center quickly. The square rear sight helps define the notch clearly, which supports faster front-sight acquisition and a cleaner visual reference during deliberate shots. Since the sights are fixed rather than adjustable, the setup favors durability and stable zero retention over extra external controls, making it well suited to a pistol carried regularly or used for duty.

The sight body is made from steel, an important advantage on a handgun that sees repeated recoil, slide movement, holster wear, and everyday handling. Finished in black, the set keeps a subdued appearance while placing visual emphasis on the illuminated dots rather than on the sight body itself. For H&K 45C owners, this Meprolight handgun night sight set offers a straightforward upgrade focused on reliability, low-light usability, and a consistent iron-sight presentation.

About Meprolight

Meprolight was founded in 1990 as a supplier of sights and battle optics to the Israel Defense Forces. Based in Or Akiva, Israel, the company is a division of SK Group and develops optical and electro-optical sighting systems for military, law-enforcement, and civilian users. Its catalog covers conventional sights, tritium night sights, reflex optics, magnified optics, night-vision systems, and thermal devices.

That broad background is relevant to products such as the Tru-Dot series, where the emphasis is on practical sight visibility, durable construction, and straightforward operation. Meprolight also builds sighting systems for pistols, rifles, shotguns, and carbines, which has helped establish the brand as a specialist in weapon-mounted aiming solutions rather than a general sporting-optics maker.
