MDT Peanut Shooting Bag

• Versatile support shape: The peanut profile works as both a front and rear support bag, giving shooters one rest that adapts to barricades, props, benches, and prone positions.
• Stable on awkward surfaces: Its long, narrow form settles over pipes, rails, branches, and other uneven supports, helping the rifle stay planted for more consistent shot execution.
• Durable waxed canvas construction: The waxed army duck canvas is built to handle repeated field use while also gripping smooth surfaces better than slick fabrics.
• Adjustable fill design: A zipper opening and internal funnel let the fill be tuned or replaced, so the bag can be set up for the balance, weight, and feel a shooter prefers.
• Field-ready weather resistance: The bag design and fill concept are intended for use in wet or dry conditions, helping maintain a predictable support surface during extended range or match sessions.

About the MDT Accessories Series

MDT Accessories sits alongside the company’s chassis and magazine lines as the supporting equipment range for shooters who want to fine-tune how a rifle handles in practical use. Rather than focusing on one type of add-on, the series covers a broad mix of components, from M-LOK parts and magazine accessories to bolt knobs, weights, buttstock parts, and other utility items. That breadth reflects the way MDT approaches precision-rifle equipment: not as isolated products, but as a system that can be adjusted for fit, balance, and shooting style.

Within the range, many accessories are aimed at solving practical setup issues such as weight distribution, rifle fit, and support on improvised rests. Some parts are made for specific MDT chassis or buttstocks, while others serve a wider role in a precision shooting kit. In that context, the series is relevant not only to competition rifles, but also to target shooting and hunting setups where stability and repeatability matter. MDT Accessories is therefore less about cosmetic add-ons and more about giving shooters useful tools to adapt their equipment to real positions, props, and field conditions.

About the MDT Peanut Shooting Bag

The MDT Peanut Shooting Bag is a soft shooting rest built for the kind of improvised support positions common in precision rifle matches, range practice, and field shooting. Its defining feature is the peanut-shaped profile, which lets the bag drape over narrow or uneven surfaces more naturally than a simple rectangular bag. That shape helps create a flatter, more stable contact patch between rifle and support, whether the bag is used on a barricade, a post, a vehicle surface, or as a rear bag under the stock.

The design is equally useful because it is not limited to one role. A shooter can use it as a front support on props, then move it to the rear for elevation control in prone or bench shooting. That flexibility makes it a practical choice for anyone who wants one bag that covers several positions instead of carrying multiple specialized rests. Waxed Army Duck Canvas adds durability and grip, so the bag resists wear while staying planted better on smoother surfaces. The zipper opening with internal funnel also matters in real use, because it allows the fill to be adjusted or replaced to change the bag’s weight and feel. In practice, that means the bag can be set up for a heavier, more anchored character or a lighter configuration that is easier to carry between stages and positions.

About MDT

MDT Sporting Goods was established in 2009 and began in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada. The company focuses on products for target shooting and hunting, with a range that includes rifle chassis systems, magazines, buttstocks, and accessories. MDT identifies the TAC21 as its first chassis, and that chassis-based background still shapes the company’s product philosophy today.

MDT develops its equipment with input from competitive precision shooters, which is especially relevant in categories such as shooting supports and rifle accessories where small changes in stability and rifle handling can matter on the clock. Its catalog extends beyond chassis to include bipods, scope bases, scope rings, stocks, and support gear, giving the brand a strong reputation among shooters building practical precision-rifle systems rather than buying isolated parts.
