MAKlassic Pivot upper parts, Mauser M 12, 36 mm

• Steel upper parts: The steel construction gives this pivot-mount upper assembly the rigidity needed to keep a riflescope stable under recoil and repeated handling, which matters when a hunting rifle is carried often and expected to return to zero.
• 36 mm scope fit: Built for 36 mm scope bodies, these upper parts provide the correct interface for larger-tube optics, helping create a secure, properly aligned mounting solution without improvised adapters.
• Adjustable windage: The windage-adjustable design allows the mount to be centered mechanically during installation, which helps preserve more internal scope adjustment for actual zeroing and longer-range correction.
• Low 14.00 mm build height: A restrained mounting height helps keep the optic closer to the bore, supporting a more natural cheek weld and a cleaner rifle setup for fast, repeatable sight alignment in the field.
• Classic pivot-mount format: The MAKlassic system follows the traditional pivot concept valued on hunting rifles because it combines a neat profile with repeatable removal and reattachment when the rifle is used with different sighting setups.

About the MAKlassic Series

MAKlassic is MAK’s traditional two-piece pivot-mount series for rifles and break-action firearms. Documented in MAK catalogues by 2019, the series is built around the idea of a model-specific mounting solution that matches the rifle and optic more precisely than a generic rail setup. That approach makes the line especially relevant for classic hunting rifles, where low mounting height, clean lines, and dependable alignment matter as much as outright modularity.

The series includes different mount heights and front-foot offsets, allowing the setup to be tailored to scope size and rifle geometry. MAK also catalogues versions for both scope tubes and optic rails, so the family covers a wide spread of sporting optics. Within the range, users will also find versions with rotating locks and lever locks, reflecting a design philosophy focused on secure engagement and practical handling rather than unnecessary bulk. In use, MAKlassic mounts suit hunters and traditional rifle owners who want a compact, mechanically solid interface that respects the balance and appearance of the firearm while still supporting precise optic installation.

About the MAKlassic Pivot upper parts, Mauser M 12, 36 mm

The MAKlassic Pivot upper parts for the Mauser M 12 are designed for shooters who want to pair a 36 mm riflescope with a classic pivot-mount system on a Mauser-pattern hunting rifle. As the upper portion of the mount, this component is responsible for holding the optic securely and positioning it correctly in relation to the lower bases. That makes it a key part of a mounting setup where repeatability, clean rifle handling, and a low-profile installation are all important.

The use of steel construction is especially relevant here. Steel brings the stiffness and wear resistance expected from a pivot-mount interface, helping the assembly maintain consistent engagement over time. The 14.00 mm BH height and 32.00 mm overall height support a practical optic position that keeps the sight line controlled without making the rifle feel top-heavy. For field rifles carried over long distances or brought quickly to the shoulder, that contributes to steadier head position and more natural target acquisition.

A particularly useful feature is the adjustable windage. In practice, this allows the installer to align the scope more precisely with the rifle, reducing the need to use excessive internal windage correction in the optic itself. The 0 MOA inclination keeps the setup neutral, which suits general hunting and everyday sporting use where a straightforward zero is preferred over a canted long-range configuration. Finished in black, the mount maintains a discreet appearance that fits well with traditional sporting rifles and modern hunting optics alike.

About MAK

MAK is a German brand associated with Kilic Feintechnik GmbH in Schwebheim, Germany. The company develops and manufactures optical mounts, optics, and electronic products, with a product range that covers civilian and government use. Its portfolio includes mounting systems such as MAKuick quick-release mounts and MAKmilmont monoblock mounts for Picatinny rails, alongside optics lines such as MAKdot red-dot sights, MAKstorm prism sights, and MAKpro riflescopes.

This breadth is relevant because it shows MAK’s focus on the complete interface between firearm and sighting system, not just on standalone accessories. The MAK Group also identifies patented solutions across its mounts, optics, and electronics, and it develops both standardized products and customized solutions for professional applications. In practical terms, that gives MAK a strong reputation among hunters, sports shooters, and professional users who value precise fit, robust materials, and mounting systems designed around real rifle platforms.
