Konus Regent HD 10x42

• 10x42 configuration: The 10x magnification gives more reach for scanning distant game, birds or landscape details, while the 42 mm objective size keeps the binocular manageable for day-long carry.
• HD optical system: Konus uses a High-Definition optical system to improve sharpness and brightness, helping fine detail stand out more clearly in mixed light and at longer observation distances.
• Roof prism design: The compact roof-prism layout keeps the binocular slim and easy to pack, making it practical for hunting, hiking and general outdoor use where bulk matters.
• Waterproof and fogproof construction: Sealed construction helps the binocular stay usable in rain, damp woodland and changing temperatures, reducing the risk of internal fogging during real field use.
• Central focusing with tripod adaptability: Fast central focus makes it easier to shift from near to far subjects, and tripod compatibility adds stability for longer observation sessions.

About the Konus Regent HD Series

The Konus Regent HD series sits in Konus’s roof-prism binocular range as a practical option for users who want a more refined viewing experience than basic entry-level models without moving into oversized or highly specialized optics. Built around an HD optical system, the series is intended for general outdoor observation, including hunting, birdwatching and trekking, where image clarity, manageable weight and weather resistance matter more than extreme magnification.

A defining trait of the series is its combination of a compact roof-prism format with features that support field use, including waterproof construction, multi-coated optics and professional BAK-4 prisms. Konus also gives the Regent HD models a wide-angle viewing character, which helps users follow moving subjects more naturally and scan terrain with less tunnel effect. Large eyepieces and long eye relief further suggest a design focused on comfortable observation rather than bench use. In practice, the Regent HD line is aimed at outdoorsmen and nature observers who need a binocular that is easy to carry, quick to deploy and dependable in variable weather.

About the Konus Regent HD 10x42

The Konus Regent HD 10x42 is the higher-magnification model in this compact full-size format, built for users who want more reach without stepping up to a heavier binocular. Its 10x magnification is well suited to glassing open ground, checking distant movement and picking out finer plumage or terrain detail than an 8x model typically reveals. Paired with a 42 mm objective lens, it keeps enough light-gathering ability for early morning, overcast woodland and general daytime observation while remaining portable at 700 g.

The optical layout uses a roof prism design with multi-coated optics, a combination chosen for a slimmer body and improved light transmission. The 102 m/1000 m field of view is broad enough for scanning and tracking, while the 4 mm exit pupil supports a comfortable image in normal daylight and transitional light. Central focusing makes the binocular quick to adjust when subjects move between distances, and the -2/+2 dpt diopter range helps fine-tune the view to the user’s eyesight.

In the field, the Regent HD 10x42 is especially well matched to hunting optics and general-purpose outdoor observation where weather can change quickly. Its waterproof and fogproof construction supports reliable use in damp conditions, and tripod adaptability is useful when observing for longer periods from a fixed position. The single-hinge body keeps handling straightforward and the rubber-armored exterior adds a more secure grip in cold or wet hands.

About Konus

Konus was founded in 1979 in Verona, Italy, and has long focused on optics for hunting and target shooting. The company’s range extends across riflescopes and outdoor observation products, reflecting a practical specialization in sporting optics rather than a single narrow category. Konus Italia Group S.p.A. is based in Settimo di Pescantina, Italy, and its catalog combines field optics with shooting-oriented products for users who value straightforward functionality and broad application.

Within the shooting segment, Konus is known for product families such as the Konuspro M-30 and T-30, as well as for developing optics with laser-etched reticles. That background is relevant here because it shows the company’s emphasis on durable, field-oriented optical equipment. Even outside riflescopes, Konus products are generally positioned around practical use, accessible handling and dependable performance for outdoor observation.
