ISOtunes Sport Defy Slim Basic

• Ultra-slim earmuff profile: The low-bulk cup shape helps maintain a cleaner cheek weld and makes it easier to align with long guns, so the earmuffs interfere less when shooting from supported or awkward positions.
• Tactical Sound Control: Electronic sound amplification boosts ambient sounds while suppressing harmful impulse noise, helping the wearer stay aware of range commands, movement and conversation without removing hearing protection.
• Up to 300-hour battery life: Long runtime from standard AAA batteries reduces downtime and makes the earmuffs practical for repeated range sessions, hunting trips and keeping in a gear bag ready to use.
• 20 dB NRR protection: The earmuff design provides meaningful noise reduction for shooting environments while preserving the convenience of electronic hearing enhancement.
• AUX connectivity: The auxiliary input allows a simple wired connection to compatible audio sources when Bluetooth is not needed, keeping the design straightforward and easy to operate.

About the Defy Series

The DEFY series sits in the ISOtunes Sport lineup as electronic hearing protection built for shooting and hunting use, with an emphasis on balancing protection, situational awareness and practical field ergonomics. Rather than treating earmuffs as simple passive protection, the series is designed around Tactical Sound Control, which amplifies environmental sound while rapidly reducing dangerous impulse noise. That makes the platform well suited to range use, clay shooting and hunting scenarios where hearing commands, movement or game activity matters.

Within the range, DEFY models are known for combining a protective over-ear format with controls that stay simple under stress. Depending on the version, the series can prioritize either straightforward electronic protection or added wireless convenience, but the common theme is a shooting-focused design that avoids unnecessary bulk. The slimmer cup geometry is especially relevant for long-gun use, where stock contact and head position can be affected by oversized earmuffs. As a result, the series appeals to users who want electronic earmuffs that support safer hearing habits without giving up awareness of the environment around them.

About the ISOtunes Sport Defy Slim Basic

The ISOtunes Sport Defy Slim Basic is the pared-back version of the DEFY Slim concept, aimed at shooters who want electronic earmuff protection without Bluetooth features or a complicated control layout. Its defining advantage is the slim over-ear design, which reduces interference between the earmuff cups and a rifle or shotgun stock. In practice, that means a more natural head position and fewer distractions when mounting the gun, especially for hunting rifles, shotguns and other long guns where cheek weld consistency matters.

The earmuffs use Tactical Sound Control to amplify ambient sound while cutting harmful high-level noise. This is useful on the range for hearing instructions and conversation, and in the field for picking up movement and other environmental cues without exposing hearing to gunfire. Because the Basic version keeps the feature set focused, operation remains straightforward and quick to learn. The AUX input adds wired audio capability for users who prefer a direct connection rather than wireless functions.

At 289.00 g, the Defy Slim Basic stays light enough for extended wear, and its AAA-powered system delivers up to 300.00 h of battery life. That long runtime is a practical benefit for regular training, competition days or keeping the earmuffs packed as ready-use hearing protection. The result is a simple, shooting-oriented model that focuses on fit, awareness and dependable everyday use.

About ISOtunes

Haven Technologies was founded in 2016 by leaders in consumer safety and launched the ISOtunes brand of hearing protectors. The company is based in Carmel, Indiana, United States, and focuses on hearing protection for both work and recreational use. Within that broader offering, ISOtunes developed products for hunting and shooting that combine protective performance with features that help users stay aware of their surroundings.

ISOtunes Sport launched in 2021 with tactical earmuffs and earplugs, expanding the brand into firearms-focused hearing protection. The range includes the DEFY and ADVANCE earmuff lines as well as the CALIBER earbud line. A key technology in this category is Tactical Sound Control, which amplifies environmental sounds while suppressing harmful noise, making the brand particularly relevant for range use and hunting applications where awareness matters alongside protection.
