Hikmicro Thunder TQ35 2.0 Product description

  • 640×512 thermal sensor: The higher-resolution 12 μm sensor gives the scope more usable detail at distance, helping with target recognition and cleaner separation between animals, cover, and background heat.
  • NETD 20 mK sensitivity: Very fine thermal sensitivity improves image contrast when temperature differences are small, which matters in rain, fog, humid air, and at dawn or dusk.
  • 35 mm F1.0 objective: The fast lens gathers more thermal energy for a brighter, more informative image, while the 1.82x base magnification keeps the view practical for scanning and shooting at mixed distances.
  • 1024×768 OLED display: A sharp OLED screen presents thermal detail with good contrast and smooth viewing, reducing eye strain during long observation sessions and making digital zoom easier to use.
  • Compact 515 g housing: The short, light body keeps rifle handling balanced, while the waterproof, fogproof construction and wide operating range support field use in difficult weather.

About the Hikmicro Thunder Series

HIKMICRO THUNDER 2.0 was introduced on April 12, 2023 as the updated generation of the original THUNDER line. Within HIKMICRO’s thermal scope range, the series sits as a dedicated family of compact thermal riflescopes built for practical field use rather than oversized bench setups. The lineup includes several sensor and lens combinations, from the TE19 2.0 and TE25 2.0 through the TH25P 2.0, TH35P 2.0, TQ35 2.0, and TQ50 2.0, giving hunters and search users a choice between wider viewing angles and stronger long-range emphasis.

The series is built around uncooled thermal imaging sensors paired with OLED displays, a combination chosen for clear thermal presentation in a compact format. THUNDER 2.0 models are intended for applications including hunting and search and rescue, where fast detection matters more than daylight color detail. Across the family, HIKMICRO equips the scopes with multiple thermal image palettes, flat-field correction modes, onboard video recording, and snapshot capture. That makes the THUNDER 2.0 series a flexible platform for users who want a thermal riflescope that remains small on the rifle, records what it sees, and covers both close-to-medium and longer-distance work depending on the chosen model.

About the Hikmicro Thunder TQ35 2.0

HIKMICRO THUNDER TQ35 2.0 is the higher-resolution 35 mm model in the series, combining a 640×512 thermal sensor with a 35.00 mm F1.0 objective and 1.82x magnification. In practice, this setup gives it a useful balance between image detail and field coverage. The base magnification is high enough to make better use of the 640-class sensor for identification work, while the 12.52° field of view still remains wide enough for scanning woodland edges, fields, and feeding areas without feeling tunnel-like.

The sensor uses a 12.00 μm pixel pitch, 20.00 mK NETD, and a 50.00 Hz refresh rate. Together, those figures matter because they help the scope show subtle heat differences more clearly and keep motion looking natural when tracking moving game. The stated 1800.00 m detection range supports longer-range spotting, while the OLED display with 1024×768 resolution gives the image enough screen definition to preserve detail during observation and recording.

Mechanically, the TQ35 2.0 stays compact at 221.00 mm and 515.00 g, so it adds less bulk than many larger thermal riflescopes. The 45.00 mm eye relief supports safe, repeatable shooting positions, and the - 5.0 / + 5.0 dpt diopter range helps tailor the display to the shooter’s eyesight. Video recording, image capture, and video output make the scope more useful beyond the shot itself, whether for reviewing animal behavior, documenting outings, or sharing footage. With waterproof and fogproof construction, Li-ion power, and up to 8.50 h of battery life, it is configured for extended field sessions in changing weather.

About Hikmicro

HIKMICRO was founded in 2016 and is headquartered in Hangzhou, China. The company specializes in thermal imaging and also works with visible-light imaging, ultrasonic technology, electromagnetic technology, and radar. In the outdoor optics segment, HIKMICRO has built a focused product range around thermal observation and aiming devices rather than general sporting optics, which is why its lineup covers thermal monoculars, thermal scopes, thermal clip-ons, digital day-and-night scopes, and multispectrum binoculars.

Its product families are clearly divided by role: THUNDER and STELLAR for thermal scopes, LYNX, FALCON, and CONDOR for thermal monoculars, ALPEX for digital day-and-night vision scopes, and HABROK for multispectrum binoculars. HIKMICRO’s 2023 outdoor materials also note the release of 12 μm thermal detectors in 256×192, 384×288, and 640×512 resolutions in 2020, which helps explain the company’s strong emphasis on compact sensors and practical field-ready thermal devices.
