GRS Lightweight Classic, Bergara B14 SA

• Lightweight laminate construction: At 900.00 g, this stock keeps overall rifle weight down for long days in steep terrain, making it especially well suited to mountain hunting builds.
• Adjustable cheekpiece: The push-button cheekpiece adjustment helps align the eye naturally behind the optic, improving comfort and making it easier to maintain a consistent shooting position.
• Classic ambidextrous grip: The series uses a more traditional grip shape that still supports controlled handling, giving hunters a familiar feel without giving up modern stock fit.
• Glass-bedding-ready platform: With glass bedding specified for the stock, the action can be seated more consistently for stable support and dependable accuracy potential.
• Field-focused surface details: The added grip texture and slim hunting profile help maintain secure handling in wet or cold conditions while keeping the rifle easy to carry.

About the GRS Lightweight Classic Series

The GRS Lightweight Classic series sits in the company’s laminate-stock range as a hunting-focused option built for shooters who want low weight without giving up stock fit. Introduced in the 2026 catalogue, the series was developed for lightweight rifles and mountain hunting, where every gram matters but a stable cheek weld still makes a clear difference in practical field shooting.

Its design combines a birch-laminate construction with an ambidextrous classic grip, giving the stock a more traditional shape than many target-oriented designs while preserving the ergonomic advantages GRS is known for. The cheekpiece uses a push-button adjustment system, and the stock can be lengthened with spacers by up to 4 cm, allowing the rifle to be set up for different clothing layers, body sizes, or shooting positions. An oiled finish, standard slim barrel-channel format, and multiple color variants keep the series rooted in practical hunting use rather than range-only specialization.

About the GRS Lightweight Classic, Bergara B14 SA

The GRS Lightweight Classic, Bergara B14 SA is configured for the Bergara B14 short action and is aimed at hunters who want a lighter rifle stock with more adaptable fit than a fixed conventional hunting stock. Its 900.00 g weight makes sense on alpine and general hunting rifles where reduced carry weight matters over long distances, but the stock still keeps the solid feel associated with laminate construction.

The defining feature is the adjustable cheekpiece. On a hunting rifle, proper cheek height is not just a comfort detail; it helps place the eye in line with the scope quickly and repeatably, which is especially useful when switching between clothing layers or optic mounting heights. The 325.00 mm length of pull gives the stock a compact, field-friendly starting point, while the series design allows extension with spacers when a longer fit is needed.

This model also uses added grip texture and a 45.00 mm forend width, giving the support hand a secure purchase without making the front end bulky. The result is a stock that carries easily in rough terrain, sits naturally in improvised field positions, and remains practical for rifles intended for mountain hunting as well as broader all-round hunting use. With its laminate construction, glass-bedding type, and non-folding layout, it stays focused on straightforward durability, consistent handling, and a clean hunting profile.

About GRS

GRS traces its history to 2010 in Grodås, Hornindal, Norway, while the family business behind it began earlier in 1983 as Grodås Møbler AS, a furniture manufacturer. That background is relevant to the brand’s rifle stocks, because it combines woodworking experience with a focus on fit, ergonomics, and practical field use. GRS Riflestocks AS is headquartered in Hornindal and specializes in rifle stocks for hunting and shooting.

The company’s range includes laminate, composite, and aluminum chassis designs across lines such as Hunter Light, Sporter, Bifrost, Fenris, Warg, and Ragnarok. GRS began making laminate rifle stocks in 2011, and its products are known for combining ergonomic shaping with practical adjustability. One of the brand’s notable technologies is GRS SpeedLock, an adjustment system used on its rifle stocks to make fit changes faster and more straightforward in real use.
