EOTech Vudu 1-10x28 Product description

  • 1-10x magnification range: true low-power performance at 1x supports fast, both-eyes-open shooting at short distance, while 10x gives enough reach for target identification and precise holds farther out.
  • First focal plane reticle: the reticle scales with magnification, so holdovers and ranging references stay consistent throughout the zoom range instead of being limited to one setting.
  • 34 mm aircraft-aluminum tube: the larger tube supports a generous adjustment range and a robust structure suited to hard field use on tactical rifles and general-purpose carbines.
  • Illuminated glass-etched reticle: red illumination helps the aiming point stand out in changing light, while the etched reticle remains visible even with illumination turned off.
  • Compact 270 mm body with throw lever: the short overall length keeps the rifle balanced, and the removable throw lever makes rapid magnification changes easier when moving between close and distant targets.

About the EOTech Vudu Series

The EOTech Vudu series is the company’s magnified riflescope family for shooters who need a more capable optic than a simple low-power sight but still expect duty-grade construction and practical field handling. Introduced in 2016, the Vudu line sits as EOTECH’s premium riflescope range and covers applications from competition and big-game hunting to professional and tactical use. Across the series, EOTECH offers both first focal plane and second focal plane configurations, allowing shooters to choose between constant reticle subtensions through the zoom range or a reticle appearance that stays visually consistent.

Vudu scopes use single-piece aircraft-grade aluminum tubes with anodized finishes, and the series is built around nitrogen purging, O-ring sealing, and recoil-resistant construction. That design approach gives the line the weather resistance and mechanical stability expected from serious hunting optics and tactical optics. The series also uses glass-etched reticles with options that include illuminated center aiming points as well as MOA, MRAD, and Horus-based layouts. In practice, that makes the Vudu family broad enough to cover fast LPVO work, precision shooting, and rifles set up for more deliberate long-range engagements.

About the EOTech Vudu 1-10x28

The EOTech Vudu 1-10x28 is built as a true crossover LPVO for shooters who want one riflescope to cover close-range speed and extended-distance precision. Its 1-10x magnification range gives it a wider operating envelope than a typical 1-6x or 1-8x optic. At the low end, the broad 35.50 m/100m field of view helps with rapid target acquisition and situational awareness. At 10x, the scope offers enough image scale for more deliberate shot placement, target discrimination, and practical hold use at distance.

This model uses a first focal plane reticle with red illumination, which is especially useful on a variable-power tactical riflescope because the reticle’s subtensions remain correct throughout the zoom range. That allows the shooter to use holdovers and reference marks without being tied to one magnification setting. The reticle is glass etched, so the aiming pattern remains available even if illumination is not in use, while the illuminated center improves visibility against dark backgrounds or in low light.

The scope’s 34 mm tube and 29.00 mrad / 100.00 MOA elevation adjustment give it the internal travel needed for versatile rifle setups. A Zero Stop system supports quick, reliable returns to the original zero after dialing, and the tactical turret layout suits shooters who may alternate between dialing and holding. With a 270.00 mm length, 603.00 g weight, fast-focus eyepiece, CR2032 power supply, and included throw lever, the Vudu 1-10x28 stays compact enough for modern sporting rifles while still offering the control and precision expected from a premium first focal plane LPVO.

About Eotech

EOTECH was created in 1995 as a subsidiary of the Environmental Research Institute of Michigan, with roots connected to ERIM, which was established in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 1972. The company is headquartered in Plymouth, Michigan and is best known for its holographic sight technology, with Holographic Weapon Sights designed, developed, and manufactured in the United States since 1995. EOTECH introduced its first Holographic Weapon Sight at SHOT Show in 1996 in partnership with Bushnell, establishing the brand in the professional and tactical optics market.

Beyond holographic sights, EOTECH expanded into magnified optics with the Vudu precision riflescope line in 2016. More recently, the company broadened its electro-optics capability through the 2022 acquisition of Intevac’s Photonics division, adding digital sensor and night-vision expertise. That background helps explain EOTECH’s reputation for rugged aiming systems, practical reticle design, and optics intended for demanding field use.
