EAW pivot mount, 26 mm, Schultz & Larsen 97 DL

• Repeatable return to zero: The EAW pivot-mount design lets the scope be removed and reattached without changing the point of impact, which is useful when switching between optics or transporting the rifle more compactly.
• 26 mm ring configuration: Built for scopes with a 26 mm main tube, this mount gives a secure mechanical fit for classic European optics while keeping the installation matched to the tube diameter.
• Steel construction: The steel build favors long-term rigidity and wear resistance, helping the mount stay stable under regular field use and repeated mounting cycles.
• Rifle-specific lower fit: This version is made for the Schultz & Larsen 97 DL platform, so the mount geometry matches the rifle and supports a clean, properly aligned installation.
• Interchangeable hunting setup: As part of the EAW Pivot Mounts family, it suits shooters who want to alternate between a primary riflescope and another aiming device without giving up a familiar mounting system.

About the EAW Pivot Mounts Series

EAW Pivot Mounts are a long-established part of the company’s mount range, with the design first introduced more than 50 years ago. The series was developed for common rifles and long guns, giving hunters and sporting shooters a practical way to use detachable optics while preserving consistent alignment. A defining benefit of the system is that the scope can be removed and reattached without changing the point of impact, which matters when a rifle is carried with the optic removed, shared between setups, or used with more than one sighting solution.

The series is also known for its adjustable front and rear mount-foot fits, which help the installation be tuned precisely to the rifle and mount interface. EAW positions the pivot system as a flexible solution for shooters who may want to use a second scope or aiming device on the same firearm. Within the broader EAW lineup, pivot mounts sit alongside slide-on, roll-off and claw mounts, but they remain one of the brand’s most recognizable systems for traditional hunting rifles and detachable scope mounting.

About the EAW pivot mount, 26 mm, Schultz & Larsen 97 DL

The EAW pivot mount, 26 mm, Schultz & Larsen 97 DL is a rifle-specific steel mount made for shooters using a 26 mm scope tube on the Schultz & Larsen 97 DL action family. Its main advantage is not just that it holds the optic securely, but that it does so within a mounting system designed for repeatable removal and reattachment. For a hunting rifle, that can be especially useful when the scope needs to come off for transport, storage, maintenance, or replacement with another sighting setup.

The use of steel construction gives the mount the solid feel and long-term durability expected from a traditional all-metal hunting mount. That matters on a pivot system, where consistent lock-up and resistance to wear are important over many mounting cycles. Because this version is tailored to the Schultz & Larsen platform, it suits owners who want a mount matched to the rifle rather than a generic interface solution.

The 26 mm ring format also makes this model relevant for classic European riflescopes that use that tube diameter. In practice, that allows an older or more traditional optic to be paired with a modern detachable mount concept. For shooters who value a clean rifle-specific fit, repeatable optic positioning and the option to swap aiming devices while keeping the same mounting style, this EAW pivot mount is a practical and mechanically focused solution.

About EAW

EAW traces its origins to 1919, when Ernst Apel founded the company in Würzburg, Germany. The business produced its first riflescope mounts in 1945, and since 1951 mount development and production have been its main focus. That long specialization is central to EAW’s reputation in the sporting optics market, where the brand is closely associated with durable, rifle-specific mounting solutions.

Over time, EAW expanded its range to include pivot, slide-on or roll-off, and claw mounts for riflescopes, reflecting a strong emphasis on mechanical fit and repeatable optic positioning. Production moved from Würzburg to Gerbrunn in 1970, and Ernst Apel GmbH is now headquartered in Eibelstadt, Germany. In addition to mounts, EAW also offers thermal imaging cameras, but its core identity remains rooted in precision mounting systems for hunting and shooting rifles.
