EAW Adapter for dovetail with adjustable lever, Zeiss Compact-Point

• Adjustable lever interface: The lever system lets the adapter clamp securely to the dovetail while allowing quick removal and refitting, which is useful when a rifle is shared between sighting setups or transported frequently.
• Zeiss Compact-Point footprint: Built specifically for the Zeiss Compact-Point, this adapter provides a direct mounting solution that avoids improvised fitment and keeps the sight properly aligned on the rifle.
• Steel construction: The steel body is chosen for rigidity and long service life, helping the mount resist wear at the contact surfaces and maintain dependable positioning under repeated use.
• 0 MOA inclination: A neutral mounting angle keeps the sight in a straightforward, level setup that suits close- to medium-range red-dot use without adding unnecessary elevation bias.
• Dovetail-based compatibility: Designed for dovetail-equipped rifles, this adapter gives owners of classic rimfire and sporting platforms a practical way to fit a compact red dot without changing the rifle’s basic mounting arrangement.

About the EAW Adapters for Red Dot sights Series

EAW Adapters for Red Dot sights are built to connect compact reflex sights to established firearm mounting systems in a way that matches the company’s long-standing approach to modularity. The series covers several mounting formats, including pivot mount, dovetail, Blaser, Picatinny/Weaver, claw mount and form ring configurations, so the same sight concept can be adapted to very different rifles. Within the dovetail range, EAW catalogs versions for 11 mm, 14.5 mm, 16.5 mm and BRNO ZKK prism interfaces, with selected models using an adjustable lever for repeatable attachment and removal.

The series is intended for shooters who want the speed of a red-dot sight on hunting rifles, rimfires or other sporting firearms without abandoning a proven base system. EAW also catalogs versions for Docter-Sight, Aimpoint Micro and Zeiss Compact-Point footprints, which makes the range useful across several established sight families. In practical terms, these adapters are about preserving a clean mechanical fit, keeping installation straightforward and giving traditional rifle platforms a compact sighting option that is fast to acquire at short range.

About the EAW Adapter for dovetail with adjustable lever, Zeiss Compact-Point

The EAW Adapter for dovetail with adjustable lever, Zeiss Compact-Point is a dedicated red dot sight mount for rifles that use a dovetail interface and need a direct fit for the Zeiss Compact-Point. Its purpose is simple but important: it allows a compact reflex sight to be mounted on rifles that were not originally built around modern rail systems, while keeping the installation mechanically tidy and easy to manage in regular use.

The defining feature of this version is the adjustable lever. Instead of relying on a purely fixed arrangement, the lever system is designed for secure clamping with the convenience of fast removal and reinstallation. That matters on rifles used in different roles, such as a sporting rifle that may alternate between open, optical or red-dot setups. Because the mount uses 0 MOA inclination, it keeps the sight in a neutral orientation suited to the practical engagement distances where compact red dots are most useful.

Steel construction gives the adapter the durability expected from a hard-use mounting component. On a mount, material choice affects long-term fit just as much as strength, and steel helps the contact surfaces stand up to repeated attachment cycles. With KR 0.0 mm extension and no adjustable windage built into the mount, the design stays straightforward and compact, prioritizing a stable interface between rifle and sight. For compatible rifles such as selected Anschutz, BRNO, Baikal, Steyr Mannlicher and Accuracy International models, this adapter offers a practical route to a low-profile Zeiss Compact-Point installation.

About EAW

EAW traces its origins to 1919, when Ernst Apel founded the company in Würzburg, Germany. The business later became associated with the name EAW after Ernst Apel acquired Elektro-Dental-Werke Frankfurt in 1923 and changed the EDW brand to EAW, meaning Ernst Apel Würzburg. The company developed its first riflescope mounts in 1945, and since 1951 mount development and production have been its primary focus.

That background is directly relevant here, because EAW is best known for building mechanical sight-mounting solutions rather than optics alone. Its range includes pivot mounts, slide-on or roll-off mounts, and claw mounts for riflescopes, alongside red-dot adapters and related systems. Production moved from Würzburg to Gerbrunn in 1970, and Ernst Apel GmbH is now headquartered in Eibelstadt, Germany. In addition to mounts, EAW also offers thermal imaging cameras and introduced a tactical mount series in 2023.
