Discovery Optics HS 6-24x50 SF

• 6-24x magnification range: Covers precise rimfire work, target shooting, and longer-range practice with enough top-end power for careful shot placement and load evaluation.
• 50 mm objective lens: Helps maintain a brighter sight picture at higher magnification, which is useful when aiming at small targets or shooting in subdued light.
• Side-focus parallax adjustment: Lets the shooter fine-tune image focus from 9.14 m to infinity, reducing aiming error at varying distances and making close-to-mid range setup more flexible.
• 30 mm tube with multi-turn turrets: Provides a sturdy mounting platform and practical adjustment travel for zeroing and hold correction in target or tactical-style shooting.
• Nitrogen-filled, waterproof, fogproof, shockproof build: Supports reliable use in changing weather and rough field conditions, helping the scope stay clear and functional during transport and repeated recoil.

About the Discovery Optics HS Series

The Discovery Optics HS series sits in the brand’s Precision Series and is aimed at shooters who want a riflescope configured for competition, tactical use, hunting, and long-range shooting. Within the Discovery Optics lineup, the HS family focuses on practical precision features rather than ultra-light hunting simplicity. The series is built around a 30 mm main tube and a first focal plane reticle concept, so reticle subtensions remain consistent as magnification changes. That makes the platform well suited to ranging, holdovers, and corrections across different distances.

Discovery Optics also positions the HS line as a durable field optic. The series is described with locking turrets, red illumination with six brightness settings, and XED low-dispersion glass to improve image control and reduce distracting color fringing. The manufacturer rates the series for 1500G shock resistance, states compatibility from .22 LR to .338, and lists IP67 waterproofing with fogproof operation from −40°C to +70°C. In practice, that gives the HS family a clear role as a versatile precision riflescope range for shooters who need repeatable adjustments, useful reticle scaling, and a build intended for regular range and field use.

About the Discovery Optics HS 6-24x50 SF

The Discovery Optics HS 6-24x50 SF is configured for shooters who need a riflescope with enough magnification for deliberate shot placement, target work, and longer-range practice, while still remaining usable at moderate distances. Its 6-24x zoom range gives the scope a broad working envelope: lower magnification is easier to manage for setup, scanning, and closer targets, while the upper end supports precise aiming on small targets and better visual separation of fine details. The 50 mm objective lens complements that role by helping preserve image brightness as magnification increases.

A key practical feature is the side-focus parallax adjustment, which works from 9.14 m to infinity. That matters on a scope in this magnification class because parallax error becomes more noticeable as power rises. Being able to dial focus from short distance to far targets makes the HS 6-24x50 SF suitable for rimfire rifles, range use, and precision-oriented shooting where target distances vary. The fast-focus eyepiece also helps the shooter quickly sharpen the reticle to match individual eyesight.

Mechanically, the scope uses a 30 mm tube and multi-turn turrets with CCW rotation, along with 8.73 mrad / 30 MOA of elevation and windage adjustment. This gives the optic enough correction range for careful zeroing and practical trajectory adjustment, while the multi-turn layout supports more deliberate dialing than a basic hunting scope. The housing is nitrogen filled and rated as waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof, which is important for maintaining internal clarity and dependable function in damp weather, temperature changes, and regular transport to the range or field.

About Discovery Optics

Discovery Optics states that it was established in 2009 and lists its main operations in Bao'an, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. The company focuses on rifle scopes for shooting and hunting and also offers electro-optical sighting devices and thermal imaging solutions for hunting. Its riflescope catalog includes several distinct product families, including the XED, ED, LHD, and HD series, which shows a lineup covering different price points and use cases.

Within the riflescope category, Discovery Optics offers models with both first-focal-plane and second-focal-plane reticles, giving shooters a choice between reticle scaling for hold-based shooting and more traditional SFP layouts. That breadth is relevant to the HS line, which sits in the company’s precision-oriented range and reflects Discovery Optics’ emphasis on practical shooting optics rather than general outdoor observation products.
