Dentler Base rail BASIS VARIO - Prisma 60° 10mm

• Modular BASIS VARIO interface: This base rail forms the rifle-side part of the Dentler system, allowing a compatible upper mounting rail to be attached and removed without changing the basic setup on the firearm.
• Continuously adjustable VARIO concept: The BASIS VARIO platform is designed for height and windage adjustment at the base, which helps keep the optic’s own settings unchanged when the system is set up correctly across different rifles.
• Prisma 60° 10 mm fit: The rail is made for a 10 mm 60° dovetail, giving a model-specific mechanical interface that matches the firearm correctly and avoids improvised mounting solutions.
• Steel construction: A steel body gives the base the rigidity and wear resistance needed for repeated mounting cycles and dependable support under field use.
• Matte black finish: The black matte surface keeps reflections low and gives the rail a subdued appearance that suits hunting rifles and practical optics setups.

About the Dentler Steel Mounts Series

Dentler Steel Mounts are the steel-bodied options within the company’s BASIS modular mounting family. The concept separates the rifle-mounted base rail from the optic-mounted upper rail, so the mounting system can be configured around the firearm on one side and the optic interface on the other. In practice, this makes the series relevant for hunters and shooters who want a more structured way to combine different rifles and sighting systems without resorting to one-piece fixed solutions.

A defining characteristic of the series is its compatibility across BASIS and BASIS VARIO base rails. Dentler describes the clamping arrangement with steel crossbars and a locking pin, and the system is built to lock onto the base without play for repeatable removal and reattachment. That design philosophy suits users who change optics for different hunting styles, swap between daytime and digital sights, or want one mounting standard across several rifles. The series also covers a broad range of upper interfaces, from ring mounts to Weaver/Picatinny and manufacturer-specific optic rails, which makes it a practical foundation for modern hunting optics setups.

About the Dentler Base rail BASIS VARIO - Prisma 60° 10mm

The Dentler Base rail BASIS VARIO - Prisma 60° 10mm is a rifle-side base made for firearms with a 10 mm 60° dovetail and for use with the Dentler Mounts Interface on the upper side. Its role is straightforward but important: it creates the precise lower connection that lets the Dentler modular mounting system work as intended. For rifles built around this dovetail standard, that means a cleaner and more secure starting point than generic adapters or improvised clamping solutions.

Because this is a BASIS VARIO base, it belongs to the adjustable version of Dentler’s system. The practical advantage of that concept is that windage and height correction are handled at the base, so the optic can remain mechanically centered and its own adjustment range is preserved for actual zeroing and field correction. This is especially useful in hunting setups where one optic may be shared across more than one rifle within the same Dentler ecosystem.

The base is made from steel, which suits a component that must hold alignment, resist wear from repeated mounting cycles, and provide a stable foundation for the upper rail. Its matte black finish keeps the appearance discreet on the rifle. As part of the Dentler modular system, this base is best suited to users who want a repeatable, firearm-specific mounting solution for hunting optics rather than a permanent one-piece installation.

About Dentler

Dentler Jagdwaffen was founded in 2011 by Daniel Dentler and is based in Leutkirch im Allgäu, Germany. The company focuses on modular riflescope mounting systems for hunting firearms, with BASIS and BASIS VARIO as its core product families. Dentler’s approach centers on splitting the system into a firearm-specific base rail and an interchangeable optic mounting rail, so rifles and optics can be combined within one consistent mounting standard.

The company offers rails for firearms from makers such as Benelli, Browning, Merkel, Heckler & Koch, and Rößler, and it also supports optics interfaces for brands including Aimpoint, Pulsar, Swarovski, Zeiss, and Weaver/Picatinny formats. That specialization has given Dentler a clear place in the hunting optics market, particularly among users who value repeatable optic changes and rifle-specific fit.
