Celestron CGX 925 EdgeHD

1. Advanced Catadioptric Design: The 9.25-inch EdgeHD optical tube features a Schmidt-Cassegrain design with an aplanatic, flat-field corrector lens system. This eliminates coma and field curvature, providing pinpoint stars across a wide field of view, making it ideal for high-resolution astrophotography and visual observing. Its closed tube ensures minimal dust ingress and stable optics.

2. Robust CGX Equatorial Mount: This telescope is paired with Celestron's CGX Computerized Equatorial Mount, engineered for heavy payloads and superior stability. It offers precise tracking for long-exposure astrophotography and smooth GoTo functionality, accurately locating over 40,000 celestial objects with its NexStar+ hand controller.

3. Optimized for Imaging: The EdgeHD optical system is particularly optimized for modern CCD and DSLR cameras, producing sharp, clear images with minimal aberrations. Its long focal length (2350mm) provides ample magnification for planetary detail, while the large aperture gathers abundant light for deep-sky objects.

4. Enhanced User Experience: Designed for an intuitive setup and operation, the CGX mount features improved ergonomics, dual-slot saddles, and a robust tripod, ensuring a stable platform for observation and imaging. The system's thoughtful engineering contributes to both performance and ease of use for astronomers of all levels.

ABOUT THE CELESTRON CGX 925 EDGEHD

The Celestron CGX 925 EdgeHD stands out as a high-performance Schmidt-Cassegrain (SCT) telescope, engineered for both serious astrophotography and demanding visual observation. Unlike standard SCTs, the EdgeHD optical design delivers a genuinely flat field of view, free from coma and field curvature across the entire imaging sensor, ensuring pinpoint stars from the center to the edge. This advanced catadioptric construction makes it exceptionally versatile for capturing wide-field deep-sky objects or detailed planetary views. Crafted with quality optics and durable materials, this system offers a robust platform for astronomical pursuits, providing crisp, clear images with excellent light transmission. Its versatility makes an ideal choice for astronomers seeking uncompromising optical performance, whether observing from a backyard or a dedicated observatory.
