Caldwell Claymore Pullpup Clay Target Thrower

• Handheld clay thrower design: packs the throwing power of a traditional launcher into a compact format that is easier to carry, reposition, and use for informal practice sessions.
• Adjustable target angles: the handheld layout lets the operator vary presentation on the fly, helping shooters practice crossing, rising, and awkward-angle targets instead of repeating the same flight path.
• Launches multiple clay sizes over 55 yards: adjustable spring tension works with standard, midi, and mini clays, giving more flexibility for different drills and target difficulty.
• Dual grip safeties: built-in safeties help keep both hands clear of the throwing arm and target path, adding confidence and control during operation.
• Open-front clearing system: broken clays can be removed quickly without taking the thrower apart, which keeps practice moving and reduces downtime in the field.

About the Caldwell Accessories Series

Caldwell Accessories covers a broad mix of practical shooting gear built around range use, firearms handling, and target practice. Rather than focusing on one narrow product type, the series brings together equipment intended to solve common setup and training needs with straightforward, durable designs. In Caldwell’s wider catalog, this accessories range sits alongside the brand’s hearing protection, shooting rests, targets, and chronograph products, giving shooters a consistent source for supporting equipment used before, during, and after a session on the range.

Within that broader family, the emphasis is typically on functional construction, simple operation, and products that are easy to transport and use repeatedly. The series includes items for target work and range organization, with designs that favor robust materials and practical handling over unnecessary complexity. For shooters building out a training setup, Caldwell Accessories serves as the utility side of the lineup: equipment meant to make practice more efficient, more varied, and easier to manage in real field or range conditions.

About the Caldwell Claymore Pullpup Clay Target Thrower

The Caldwell Claymore Pullpup Clay Target Thrower is a compact manual launcher made for shooters who want more variety than a simple hand thrower, but without the bulk of a full-size trap machine. Its defining advantage is the handheld format, which allows the operator to change target angle at will. In practice, that means more realistic and less predictable presentations for shotgun training, whether the goal is casual clay shooting, warm-up drills, or introducing new shooters to moving targets.

The Pullpup is designed to launch standard, midi, and mini clay targets, and its adjustable spring tension helps send them beyond 55 yards. That gives the thrower enough reach for meaningful lead and follow-through practice while still keeping the unit portable and easy to manage. A target clip on the arm holds clays in place for off-camber launches, so the thrower can present more difficult edge-on or angled shots that better test timing and target acquisition.

Safety and ease of use are central to the design. Dual grip safeties help ensure proper hand placement before release, while the open-front design makes it easier to clear broken clays without disassembly. Combined with its polymer construction, the result is a clay target thrower that is simple to transport, quick to reset, and well suited to shooters who want a more flexible target presentation system for regular range use.
