Burris FastFire E

• Fully enclosed emitter design: The closed housing keeps the emitter protected from rain, dust, mud and debris, so the dot remains visible when an open reflex sight can be obstructed.
• 3.5 MOA illuminated dot: This dot size is quick to pick up at close range while still allowing deliberate shot placement, making the sight suitable for handguns, shotguns and compact carbines.
• Compact 69.00 g aluminum body: The light, low-profile construction adds minimal bulk and helps preserve natural handling on slide-mounted pistols or lightweight long guns.
• Parallax-free 1x sight picture: True unmagnified viewing supports fast target acquisition with both eyes open, which is especially useful for dynamic shooting and short-range hunting setups.
• Waterproof, fogproof and shockproof build: The sealed, nitrogen-filled housing is made for field use in changing weather and under repeated recoil, reducing the need for extra protection or careful handling.

About the Burris FastFire Series

The Burris FastFire series has been part of the company’s red-dot lineup since 2007, when Burris introduced the original FastFire mini reflex sight. The family now includes models such as the FastFire 3, FastFire 4, FastFire C, FastFire E and FastFire RD, covering everything from compact pistol optics to enclosed red-dot sights for harder field use. Across the range, the idea stays consistent: a light, fast sight that can serve either as a primary aiming system or as a secondary optic mounted above another sight.

Within Burris’ broader optics lineup, FastFire models are aimed at shooters who want quick target acquisition for handguns, rifles and shotguns. The series is known for compact dimensions, simple illuminated-dot aiming, and practical mounting flexibility. The FastFire E marks an important step in the family as its first fully enclosed-emitter model, adding greater protection from weather and debris while keeping the speed-focused handling the series is known for. That makes the FastFire line relevant across competition, defensive, tactical and hunting optics applications where a clear, instantly visible aiming point matters more than magnification.

About the Burris FastFire E

The Burris FastFire E is a 1x enclosed reflex sight built for shooters who want the speed of a miniature red dot with better protection against the environment than an open-emitter design can offer. Its enclosed construction shields the emitter from water, dust, snow and fouling, which is especially useful on a handgun carried daily, a shotgun used in poor weather, or a carbine that may be exposed to rough handling. The result is a sight that stays ready without the exposed internals that can interrupt the dot when debris gets into the window area.

The sight uses a 3.50 MOA illuminated dot, a practical size for fast acquisition at close range while still remaining precise enough for controlled shots on smaller targets. Because it is parallax-free and designed for daytime use, the FastFire E supports instinctive, both-eyes-open shooting and a natural sight picture in bright outdoor conditions. The 22x17mm window gives a clear viewing area without making the optic overly bulky, helping the shooter track the dot during recoil and transitions.

Its aluminium housing, nitrogen-filled construction and waterproof, fogproof and shockproof build are paired with a compact footprint of 46.00 mm length and a weight of 69.00 g. That keeps the FastFire E easy to mount on pistols or Picatinny-equipped firearms without upsetting balance. Compatibility with the Docter mounting standard also broadens mounting options. In practice, this is a compact red dot sight designed for fast handling, dependable dot visibility and better resistance to field conditions than a conventional open reflex sight.

About Burris

Burris was founded in 1971 and takes its name from founder Don Burris. The company is based in Greeley, Colorado, United States, and has long focused on sporting and tactical optics for shooters and hunters. Burris expanded its reputation early with the Fullfield riflescope series, introduced in 1975, and later developed products that became well known in the category, including the Ballistic Plex reticle introduced in 2000.

Since becoming part of Beretta Holdings in 2002, Burris has continued to build a broad catalog that includes riflescopes, red-dot and reflex sights, binoculars, spotting scopes, rangefinders, thermal optics, rings and mounts. In the red-dot segment, Burris introduced the FastFire mini reflex sight in 2007, helping establish the company as a recognized name in compact aiming optics for handguns, rifles and shotguns. That background is directly relevant to the FastFire E, which continues Burris’ emphasis on practical, field-oriented sighting systems.
