Athlon Midas EDC Pro

• Top-Loading CR1632 Battery: The battery compartment sits on the top of the housing, so the battery can be replaced without removing the sight from the slide. Your zero stays intact, and there is no need to re-zero after a battery change.
• Motion Sensor with Sleep Mode: The sight switches to sleep mode after 5 minutes without movement and wakes up as soon as motion is detected. The dot is ready when you draw, while battery life of up to 20,000 hours at medium setting keeps maintenance to a minimum.
• Compact RMSc Footprint: The RMSc mounting standard makes the sight a direct fit for many subcompact and slimline carry pistols, adding fast dot-based aiming without increasing the size of a concealed-carry setup.
• 3 MOA Dot with 10 Brightness Settings: The 3 MOA red dot balances quick target acquisition with enough precision for accurate shots at typical handgun distances, and 10 illumination settings let you match dot intensity to bright daylight or dim indoor conditions.

ABOUT THE MODEL (ATHLON MIDAS EDC PRO)

The Athlon Midas EDC Pro is a compact open reflex sight designed for everyday carry (EDC) and self-defense handguns. It builds on the original Midas EDC and adds a top-loading CR1632 battery, which is its most practical upgrade: the sight never has to be removed from the firearm to change the battery, so the established zero remains unchanged.

At 1× magnification with unlimited eye relief, the sight can be used with both eyes open at any comfortable distance from the face, which is essential for fast, natural presentation from the holster. The 3 MOA red dot is large enough to pick up quickly under stress, yet small enough to place shots precisely at self-defense and practical shooting distances. Parallax is rated at less than 1 MOA, so the point of aim stays consistent even when the dot is not perfectly centred in the window.

The 20.5 × 16 mm window uses fully multi-coated lenses that reduce reflections and improve light transmission for a clear, true-colour view of the target. Brightness is controlled with + and − buttons on the side of the chassis across 10 illumination settings. A lock mode prevents accidental brightness changes or shut-off while carrying, and the sight remembers the last brightness setting after a battery change.

The motion sensor puts the sight into sleep mode after 5 minutes without movement and reactivates it instantly when the pistol is moved. Combined with battery life of up to 20,000 hours at medium setting, this allows the sight to be carried in a constant-ready state.

Windage and elevation are adjusted with 1 MOA clicks. The housing is a one-piece chassis made of aircraft-grade aluminium, and the sight is nitrogen purged, waterproof, fogproof and shockproof for reliable use in rain, temperature changes and under recoil. With a weight of just 21 g (0.74 oz), a length of 40.6 mm (1.6") and a low 14.7 mm (0.58") centre height, the Midas EDC Pro adds minimal bulk to a carry pistol.
