Aimpoint ACRO 45° Angle Mount for Picatinny Rail

• 45° offset positioning: Places an Aimpoint ACRO sight at a canted angle beside the primary optic, allowing a fast transition to a close-range aiming solution without changing the main sight setup.
• Picatinny rail fit: Attaches directly to a Picatinny rail, making it a practical choice for rifles and carbines already set up with this common mounting interface.
• Right- or left-side installation: The mount can be fitted on either side of the weapon, so the setup can be matched to shooter preference, rifle layout, and access around other accessories.
• Dedicated ACRO interface: Built for the Aimpoint ACRO mounting standard, it gives the enclosed red dot a secure and purpose-made attachment point rather than relying on adapters.
• Swedish-made construction: Made in Sweden and finished in black, it is designed as a straightforward fixed mount for hard field use on hunting or tactical rifle platforms.

About the Aimpoint Mounts Series

Aimpoint Mounts is the company’s family of dedicated mounting solutions for its red dot sights across a wide range of firearm platforms. The series is built around a simple idea: the sight performs properly only when the interface between optic and weapon is stable, repeatable, and suited to the intended use. Within the range, Aimpoint offers mounts for Picatinny and other mounting standards, with configurations that support low mounting, co-witnessing, and quick detachment.

That makes the series relevant to very different users, from hunters who want a compact and unobtrusive setup to professional or sport shooters who need a mounting height and position matched to a specific rifle layout. Some models focus on rapid removal and return-to-zero handling, while others prioritize a fixed, simple installation with minimal added bulk. Across the range, the common thread is a purpose-built fit for Aimpoint sights, practical mechanical design, and compatibility choices that let the optic be positioned where it works best for the firearm and the shooting task.

About the Aimpoint ACRO 45° Angle Mount for Picatinny Rail

The Aimpoint ACRO 45° Angle Mount for Picatinny Rail is a specialized fixed mount for shooters who want to add an offset secondary sight to a rifle already equipped with a primary optic. By positioning an ACRO red dot at a 45-degree angle, it creates a fast close-range sighting option that can be accessed by simply rolling the rifle, which is especially useful when a magnified scope is optimized for longer shots but a rapid, unmagnified aiming point is still needed at short distance.

The mount uses the Aimpoint ACRO interface on top and attaches to a Picatinny rail at the base, making it a natural fit for modern rifle platforms that already use this rail standard. Its ability to be installed on either the right or left side gives more freedom when building around bolt handles, ejection patterns, backup accessories, or personal shooting preference. In practice, that flexibility matters because offset sights need to sit where they can be reached quickly without interfering with the main optic or the rifle’s controls.

As a fixed mount, this model keeps the concept simple: secure placement, consistent alignment, and minimal complication. For hunting optics or tactical optics setups that combine a primary magnified sight with a compact enclosed red dot, the 45-degree format offers a clean way to broaden the rifle’s effective use across changing distances.

About Aimpoint

Aimpoint AB was founded in February 1975 in Malmö, Sweden, and specializes in red dot sights for hunting, sport shooting, and professional users. In the same year, the company launched the Aimpoint Electronic, recognized as the world’s first commercial red dot sight, establishing the technical direction that still defines the brand.

Over time, Aimpoint expanded its range with product families tailored to different roles, including the compact Micro series for hunters and the Acro series, introduced in 2018, for enclosed-emitter applications. The company’s reputation in this category rests on dedicated red dot development rather than a broad optics catalog, which is why its sights and mounts are widely used where fast target acquisition, durability, and straightforward operation matter.
