Vortex Golden Eagle vs Nightforce Competition Comparison Table

Vortex vs Nightforce Price Comparison

There is quite a difference between the products. Vortex golden eagle 15-60×52 costs 2119,00€ when Nightforce Competition 15-55×52 on the other hand costs 3109,00€. The price gap here is quite significant even though all functions are similar with the exception of the optical clarity.

Vortex vs Nightforce Body Comparison

If we take a look at the weight we can see that the Vortex(842g) outweighs the Nightforce(790g), but the weight is almost unnoticeable.

Nightforce might be lighter but it is slightly longer for just 2mm but this is not worth mentioning.

Last but not least difference is the parallax adjustment where the Vortex can go a bit lower to 13 meters where Nightforce can go 23 meters.

Both products are available in black.

Vortex vs Nightforce Optics Comparison

The maximal magnification on Vortex is slightly better since it can offer 5 times more magnification than the competitor but they both have the same minimal magnification of 15x times.

The field of view is comparable. The biggest difference is in eye relief, which is much bigger on Vortex, this is most noticeable on weapons with strong recoil.

The central sharpness in our opinion seems crisper and more detailed the Nightforce scope, the same goes for edge sharpness. Nightforce is opticaly better in all aspects.

Both scopes have the same inner reflections, but they are noticeable only in bright sunlight. On the Vortex, this is a bit stronger.

Eye-box is better on the Nightforce, especially on the bigger magnification you have to be very centered to have a clear picture on the Vortex.
