UTG 1-8x28 MRC

• 1-8x LPVO range: The true low-end magnification supports fast target acquisition at short distance, while 8x gives enough reach for more deliberate shots and target identification farther out.
• BG4 etched glass reticle: The reticle combines a bold center view with ballistic holdover and rangefinding references to help shooters move quickly between close targets and longer engagements without constant dialing.
• Zero-lockable target turrets: Locking, resettable turrets reduce the chance of accidental movement during transport or field use, while still allowing precise corrections when a shot or stage calls for adjustment.
• EZ-Tap illumination: Red, green, and 36-color modes make the reticle easier to pick up against different backgrounds and light conditions, improving visibility from bright daylight to dim cover.
• True Strength construction: The sealed, nitrogen-filled 30 mm scope body is built for recoil resistance as well as waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof use, which helps the optic stay dependable on working rifles.

About the UTG Accushot Series

UTG Accushot sits in the core of the brand’s riflescope range, covering practical hunting optics and tactical optics with an emphasis on durable construction and straightforward field use. In Leapers’ current catalog, the series includes five riflescope models, from a compact 1-8x LPVO to higher-magnification 4-16x variants, plus a scout scope with extended eye relief. Across the line, the common design language is a 30 mm main tube, a second-focal-plane reticle, and illuminated aiming systems intended to stay easy to read under changing light.

A defining part of the series is the company’s True Strength platform, developed to improve zero retention and mechanical reliability on both air rifles and firearms. Accushot models also use coil erector return springs and illuminated reticles with red, green, and 36-color modes, giving the line a practical balance between traditional scope handling and more flexible reticle visibility. The result is a family of scopes aimed at shooters who want broad application coverage, from close-range carbine work to general-purpose field shooting, without moving into oversized or highly specialized optics.

About the UTG 1-8x28 MRC

The UTG 1-8x28 MRC is built as a compact LPVO riflescope for carbines and similar rifles that need to work across a wide distance band. At 1x, it supports fast, both-eyes-open shooting and quick transitions at short range. Moving up to 8x adds enough magnification for more careful shot placement, target recognition, and use on smaller targets where a simple non-magnified sight would start to feel limiting. That broad range makes it well suited to general-purpose sporting rifles, practical shooting setups, and users who want one optic to cover close and intermediate distances.

The scope uses an etched glass BG4 BDC reticle in the second focal plane. In practical terms, that gives the shooter a reticle that stays visually consistent as magnification changes, with ballistic drop compensation and rangefinder markings designed around common 5.56/.223 loads. The illuminated center, supported by EZ-Tap controls with red, green, and 36-color modes, helps the aiming point stand out against dark targets, bright backgrounds, or mixed terrain. For users who move between indoor bays, woodland edges, and open ground, that flexibility is more useful than a single fixed illumination color.

Mechanically, the scope focuses on secure handling and repeatable adjustment. Its zero-lockable and resettable target turrets help prevent accidental movement while still allowing deliberate corrections, and the 1/2 MOA click value suits practical field and range use. The 30 mm aluminum tube, nitrogen filling, and waterproof, fogproof, shockproof construction support dependable use in changing weather and under recoil. A fixed 100 yds (91.4 m) parallax setting keeps operation simple, which fits the LPVO role well.

About UTG

UTG is the optics and shooting accessories brand of Leapers, Inc., a company founded in Michigan in 1992 and headquartered in Livonia, Michigan, United States. Leapers develops and manufactures products for hunting and shooting sports, with a catalog that includes riflescopes, mounts, scope rings, and bipods. The company’s first product was a compact 4×28 scope, which helps explain the long-standing emphasis on practical, accessible optics within the UTG line.

Over time, Leapers expanded both its manufacturing and product development capabilities, including the launch of the UTG PRO line of U.S.-made products in 2009 and the establishment of an optics research and manufacturing center in Taiwan in 2018. In 2022, the company also introduced the premium INTEGRIX optics brand. Within the shooting optics market, UTG is known for combining broad compatibility, robust mechanical design, and feature-rich configurations aimed at real field and range use.
