TacStar Front Grip for Remington 870

• Ergonomic front grip design: The shaped profile and finger-groove layout give the support hand a more secure hold, helping the shotgun track more steadily during fast manipulation and repeated firing.
• Recoil-distributing geometry: TacStar designed these shotgun grips with the proper width, rearward angle and back swell to spread recoil energy more evenly, which improves control and reduces hand fatigue in practical use.
• High-impact polymer construction: The polymer body keeps weight reasonable while standing up to hard field and range use, making it a sensible upgrade for a working Remington 870.
• Remington 870-specific fit: Built for the Remington 870 platform, this front grip offers a direct tactical-style forend replacement without permanent alterations to the shotgun.
• Made in the USA: Domestic manufacture and a straightforward installation concept make it a practical accessory for users who want a durable, purpose-built shotgun grip.

About the TacStar Accessories Series

TacStar Accessories is a firearm-accessory range built around practical upgrades for shotguns and rifles, with a strong emphasis on duty, defensive and field use. The line grew after Lyman acquired TacStar in 1997, bringing the brand into a broader portfolio while keeping its focus on tactical and law-enforcement-oriented equipment. Within the series, users will find shell carriers, grips, rails, slings and brass catchers, all aimed at improving handling, carry options or onboard ammunition management.

A defining part of the range is its attention to shotgun ergonomics. Products such as front and rear grips are intended for hunters, military professionals and law-enforcement users who need more secure handling under recoil and faster operation in confined spaces. The series is also closely associated with the patented SideSaddle, which helped establish TacStar’s reputation for practical shotgun accessories. Across the lineup, the design approach is straightforward: durable materials, model-specific fit where needed, and functional improvements that can be felt immediately in use rather than cosmetic changes.

About the TacStar Front Grip for Remington 870

The TacStar Front Grip for Remington 870 is a dedicated shotgun forend upgrade made for users who want a firmer, more controlled support-hand position on the Remington 870. Instead of a conventional smooth forend, this design gives the hand a more positive interface with the shotgun, which helps during rapid cycling, movement through tight spaces and repeated firing with heavier 12 gauge loads. For practical shotgun use, that translates into steadier manipulation and more consistent control when the pace increases.

The grip is made from polymer and follows TacStar’s tactical shotgun grip design philosophy, using a shape intended to fit the hand more naturally. The finger-groove ergonomic layout and the overall width and angle are there for a reason: they help distribute recoil forces more evenly and keep the support hand from shifting under stress. That matters on a pump-action shotgun, where secure hand placement directly affects how confidently and efficiently the action can be worked.

Because this model is built specifically for the Remington 870 platform, it suits owners looking for a model-correct accessory rather than a universal compromise. The black finish keeps the appearance subdued and service-oriented, while the one-piece construction supports durability in hard use. For hunting, range training or tactical shotgun setups, this front grip focuses on the basics that matter most: better purchase, better control and a more deliberate feel when running the gun.

About TacStar

TacStar is a firearm-accessory brand within the Lyman portfolio, and it joined Lyman in 1997 as part of an effort to expand into tactical and law-enforcement-oriented products. The brand is especially known for shotgun accessories, including front and rear grips, magazine extensions, weapon-light systems, slings and rail mounts. One of its best-known products is the patented SideSaddle, a shotgun shell carrier that became closely associated with practical defensive and duty shotgun setups.

TacStar’s product focus is straightforward: durable accessories for hunters, military personnel and law-enforcement professionals who need functional upgrades rather than cosmetic additions. That background makes the brand a natural fit for products like the Remington 870 front grip, where handling, recoil control and dependable construction are more important than unnecessary complexity.
