Sightmark Presidio 5-30x56

• 5-30x magnification range: Covers everything from careful shot placement at medium distance to precise holdovers at extended range, making the scope adaptable for long-range hunting and target work.
• 56 mm objective lens: The large front lens supports a brighter sight picture at higher magnification, which helps when resolving detail in low light or when reading mirage and impact at distance.
• Zero-stop elevation system: Lets the shooter dial for distance and return quickly to the original zero without hesitation, which is especially useful when moving between known and unknown ranges.
• Side-focus parallax adjustment: Fine parallax control from 18.29m to Infinity helps keep the target and reticle on the same focal plane, improving precision at both shorter and longer distances.
• 30 mm aircraft-style scope format: The 30 mm tube, capped turrets, and shockproof, waterproof, fogproof construction give the scope a practical balance of adjustment range, field durability, and everyday usability.

About the Sightmark Presidio Series

The Sightmark Presidio series sits in the brand’s riflescope range as a line built for hunting and long-range shooting, with models that bridge practical field use and more deliberate precision work. Sightmark offers the series in several magnification classes, including 1-6x24, 1-10x26, 3-18x50, and 5-30x56, so the family covers everything from fast carbine setups to high-magnification rifles for open-country shooting.

A defining trait of the Presidio line is its emphasis on durable construction. Sightmark describes these scopes as shockproof and IP67-rated for dust and water protection, with aircraft-grade aluminum tubes designed to handle hard field use without adding unnecessary bulk. The series also uses red-illuminated reticles, and it includes both first-focal-plane and second-focal-plane configurations depending on the model. That gives shooters a choice between reticle scaling for holdovers across the zoom range or a constant reticle appearance for a more traditional sight picture. Across the series, the design philosophy is straightforward: practical magnification ranges, dependable mechanicals, and optical layouts suited to real hunting optics and long-range riflescope applications rather than purely benchrest use.

About the Sightmark Presidio 5-30x56

The Sightmark Presidio 5-30x56 is the high-magnification member of the Presidio family, built for shooters who need more reach for long-range hunting and deliberate precision shooting. Its 5-30x zoom range gives it a broad working envelope: lower power remains useful when scanning a wider area or settling behind the rifle quickly, while the upper end provides the image scale needed for exact aiming, spotting fine target detail, and making more confident corrections at distance. The 56.00 mm objective lens supports that role by helping preserve image brightness as magnification increases.

The scope’s mechanical layout is equally focused on practical distance work. Capped turrets protect the adjustments from accidental movement during transport and field carry, while the zero-stop system makes it easier to dial elevation and return to the original zero by feel. With 18.00 mrad or 60.00 MOA of elevation and the same amount of windage adjustment, the scope offers enough internal travel for a wide range of rifle and cartridge setups. Side-focus parallax adjustment from 18.29m to Infinity helps maintain a sharper, more precise sight picture as target distance changes.

In use, the Presidio 5-30x56 also benefits from a 94.00 mm eye relief, a fully multicoated optical system, and a 30 mm tube that balances mounting compatibility with useful adjustment range. The 936.00 g weight and 398.00 mm length reflect its long-range role: this is a riflescope intended for rifles where stability, optical reach, and repeatable adjustment matter more than minimum carry weight. Waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof construction further suits it to changing weather and repeated recoil in the field.

About Sightmark

Sightmark was introduced at SHOT Show in 2007 and is a brand of Sellmark Corporation, headquartered in Mansfield, Texas, United States. The company develops optics and shooting accessories for hunting, home defense, and competition shooting, with a catalog that spans red-dot sights, riflescopes, laser boresights, binoculars, and spotting scopes. Sightmark also produces digital night-vision and thermal optics, including products in its Wraith line.

Within the shooting optics market, Sightmark is known for building products intended for use on rifles, shotguns, and pistols, with an emphasis on practical features and broad compatibility. That background is relevant to the Presidio riflescope range, which reflects the brand’s focus on durable sporting and tactical optics rather than highly specialized bench-only equipment.
