ABOUT THE PULSAR TELOS UPGRADE PROGRAM

The Pulsar Telos Upgrade Program introduces a different approach to premium thermal imaging. Pulsar describes Telos as the first series of thermal devices on the market to offer technical hardware upgrades.

Traditionally, upgrading to a better thermal sensor or newer technology meant purchasing an entirely new device. Telos was designed to change that. Compatible internal components can be professionally replaced with newer components offering better specifications or additional functionality.

This means that a Telos does not necessarily remain limited to the specifications it had when originally purchased. Depending on the model and available upgrade path, its capabilities can evolve over time.

WHAT CAN BE UPGRADED?

The Pulsar Telos Upgrade Program focuses on two main upgrades:

• Thermal sensor upgrade – improve image quality and performance by upgrading to a higher-class thermal sensor. Depending on the selected upgrade, a matching objective lens may also be included.
• Laser rangefinder upgrade – compatible Telos models can be upgraded with an integrated LRF for fast and accurate distance measurement.

Depending on your current Telos model, you can also combine both upgrades and improve the thermal sensor and laser rangefinder at the same time.

UPGRADE TO THE LATEST TELOS TECHNOLOGY

HOW THE UPGRADE WORKS WITH OPTICS TRADE

We have made the Telos upgrade process as simple as possible. Select and purchase the desired upgrade directly on this product page, send your Telos to Optics Trade, and we take care of everything else.

1. Select your current Telos and purchase the upgrade – choose the model you currently own, select the available upgrade and complete the order normally.
2. Send your Telos to Optics Trade – after placing the order, send your device to the following address:

3. We take care of the complete upgrade process – Optics Trade handles the processing, documentation and onward transportation of your Telos to the authorised Pulsar upgrade facility.
4. Your Telos is professionally upgraded – the selected components are replaced and the device is processed as part of the official Pulsar Upgrade Program.
5. We return the upgraded device to you – after the upgrade has been completed, the device comes back through Optics Trade and is then shipped directly back to you.

You only need to arrange the initial shipment of your Telos to Optics Trade. After we receive the device, we take care of the shipment to the Pulsar upgrade facility, the return transportation and the final shipment of the upgraded Telos back to you.

There are no additional shipping charges for these further shipments. The transportation handled by Optics Trade after your device reaches us is included in the upgrade service.

There is no need for you to contact Pulsar directly, organise international shipments or coordinate the service procedure yourself.

HOW LONG DOES THE UPGRADE TAKE?

Pulsar recommends planning approximately 30 days for the upgrade process. The exact total time can vary depending on transportation, the selected upgrade and the current workload of the upgrade facility.

Because the device has to be transported, upgraded and returned, we recommend carrying out the upgrade during a period when you do not urgently need the device.

WARRANTY AFTER THE UPGRADE

The components installed during the official Telos upgrade receive a new three-year warranty.

Please note that this does not restart the warranty period for the complete monocular. The warranty status of components that were not replaced remains unchanged, while the newly upgraded components receive their own new three-year warranty period.

IMPORTANT BEFORE SENDING YOUR TELOS

• Back up your photos, videos and other important data before sending the device. Personal data may be removed from the device during the upgrade process.
• Send the Telos monocular itself and, if available, its carrying case.
• There is normally no need to send the battery, charger, charging cable or other accessories.
• Select the upgrade corresponding to the exact Telos model you currently own.
• Only upgrade paths offered for your current model can be selected.
