Osuma Combination guns 12mm QD base, without rings

• Quick-detachable base design: The QD layout lets the optic be removed and reattached more conveniently than a fixed base, which is useful on combination guns that may be used with different sighting setups.
• 12 mm combination-gun fit: Built for combination-gun mounting applications, this base provides a dedicated platform for rifles and drillings that use a 12 mm rail interface.
• Steel construction: A steel base adds rigidity and wear resistance at the contact points, helping the mount stand up to repeated installation and field use.
• Ring-free configuration: Supplied without rings, this base gives more freedom to choose the ring size and height that best match the scope tube and objective bell.
• 0 MOA inclination: The flat base keeps the optic in a neutral mounting position, which suits general hunting and everyday zeroing distances without adding built-in cant.

About the QD Series

Osuma QD mounts are designed for shooters who want the convenience of a quick-detachable mounting system without moving to a bulky platform. Within the Osuma lineup, the QD series sits as a practical solution for hunters and rifle owners who may need to remove an optic for transport, switch between sighting systems, or service the firearm more easily. The series focuses on secure rail engagement, repeatable positioning, and straightforward handling in the field.

Compared with traditional fixed mounts, the QD series emphasizes faster removal and reinstallation while keeping the mount compact and mechanically simple. It is offered across several rail standards in the Osuma range, which makes the family relevant to a broad mix of hunting rifles and sporting firearms. The design philosophy is functional rather than decorative: durable materials, precise fit, and compatibility with different upper mounting solutions depending on the firearm and optic. For users of hunting optics, especially on rifles that benefit from flexible sight setups, the QD family provides a stable base system built around practical field use.

About the Osuma Combination guns 12mm QD base, without rings

The Osuma Combination guns 12mm QD base, without rings is a dedicated mounting base for 12 mm combination-gun rails, intended for users who want a detachable scope-mounting foundation while keeping freedom over the final ring choice. Because this version is supplied without rings, it is especially useful when the optic tube diameter, objective size, or preferred mounting height calls for a specific ring set rather than a preconfigured mount.

The use of steel is important here. On a mount base, material strength matters not only for durability but also for maintaining consistent contact with the rail over repeated attachment cycles. That makes this base well suited to hunting firearms that may be carried in difficult conditions, taken down for transport, or used with more than one optical setup. The matte finish keeps the appearance subdued and appropriate for field use.

Its 0 MOA inclination keeps the optic aligned in a neutral position, which is the sensible choice for general-purpose hunting distances and conventional zeroing setups. On a combination gun, where balance, handling, and practical versatility matter as much as raw adjustment range, a flat base is often the most straightforward option. Overall, this Osuma mount base is aimed at shooters who need a solid detachable platform and prefer to build the upper part of the mounting system around their own scope and ring requirements.

About Osuma

Osuma traces its roots to the early 1990s, when the company’s owner began developing scope mounts for his own hunting and benchrest shooting needs. That practical origin still defines the brand’s focus today. Osuma is based in Finland, and its products are designed and manufactured there, with rifle scope mounting remaining the company’s main area of expertise.

The range extends across scope mounts, scope rings, rail mounts, red-dot and holosight mounts, and suppressors, with more than 150 products in the portfolio. Osuma also offers rail mounts for systems such as 11 mm, Tikka 17 mm, Sako, Picatinny, Optilock, and Blaser, reflecting a strong specialization in fit-specific mounting solutions. The company has passed from father to son, which gives the brand a clear continuity in design approach and product purpose.
