Meprolight Tru-Dot for Glock G26 & G27

• Self-Illuminated Tritium System: The Meprolight Tru-Dot uses tritium inserts that stay visible in low light and at night without batteries, so the sight picture is always available when ambient light is poor.
• Three-Dot Alignment: Its 3-dot layout gives a familiar reference in both daylight and darkness, helping the shooter pick up the front sight quickly and confirm alignment with less hesitation.
• Steel Construction: A steel sight body stands up well to daily carry, repeated holstering, and hard use, making it a practical upgrade over more fragile factory sight setups.
• Fixed Sight Configuration: The fixed design keeps the sight set simple and durable, with fewer parts to shift or snag, which suits defensive pistols and routine carry use.
• Glock 26 and 27 Fit: Built specifically for Glock G26 and G27 pistols, this set is intended as a direct replacement for the factory front and rear sights.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot Series

Meprolight Tru-Dot is the company’s long-running family of self-illuminated handgun sights, developed as a practical replacement for factory iron sights on service, defensive, and carry pistols. The series includes fixed, adjustable, and suppressor-height variants, which places it across a wide range of handgun roles rather than limiting it to one style of use. At the core of the line is a consistent three-dot sight picture designed to remain easy to read in bright daylight, dim interiors, and nighttime conditions.

The defining technology in the series is tritium illumination, which provides a visible aiming reference without switches or batteries. That matters on a handgun carried for defense, where simplicity and immediate readiness are often more important than extra controls. Tru-Dot sights are made for direct replacement of the original front and rear sights on compatible pistols, and the range covers models for multiple handgun brands. Across the series, the emphasis stays on a durable metal build, a familiar sight picture, and dependable visibility for shooters who want iron sights that work around the clock with minimal maintenance.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot for Glock G26 & G27

The Meprolight Tru-Dot for Glock G26 & G27 is a dedicated tritium night sight set for two compact Glock platforms that are widely used for concealed carry and defensive roles. On pistols of this size, fast sight pickup matters because the shorter sight radius can make alignment feel less forgiving under stress. The Tru-Dot addresses that with a clear 3-dot arrangement that gives the eye an immediate reference in normal light and preserves that same layout when lighting drops.

Because the sight is self-illuminated, it remains ready at all times without relying on batteries, brightness settings, or external charging. That makes it especially well suited to a carry pistol that may be drawn in transitional light, indoors, or at night. The fixed sight adjustment also supports this role: there are no exposed adjustment mechanisms to complicate the profile, and the design stays straightforward for shooters who want a robust everyday setup rather than a competition-oriented system.

The use of steel construction adds durability for repeated holster wear and routine handling, while the square rear sight gives a clean rear reference that works well with the front dot for deliberate alignment. At 100.00 g, the sight set remains a compact upgrade focused on reliability, low-light usability, and a familiar iron-sight presentation for Glock 26 and 27 owners.

About Meprolight

Meprolight was founded in 1990 as a supplier of sights and battle optics to the Israel Defense Forces. Based in Or Akiva, Israel, the company is a division of SK Group and focuses on optical and electro-optical sighting systems. Its work spans conventional sights, tritium night sights, reflex optics, magnified optics, night-vision systems, thermal devices, and related sighting solutions for pistols, rifles, shotguns, and carbines.

That background is relevant to handgun sights because Meprolight has long specialized in products that prioritize immediate usability, durability, and low-light capability. The company serves military, law-enforcement, and civilian markets, which has helped shape its reputation for practical sighting systems rather than purely range-oriented designs. In the pistol category, Meprolight is particularly well known for self-illuminated tritium sights that keep a simple iron-sight format while extending usability into low-light conditions.
