Maven B5 12x56

• 12x56 configuration: The combination of 12x magnification and a 56 mm objective gives this binocular the reach needed for picking apart distant terrain while still maintaining enough brightness for dawn, dusk, and overcast glassing.
• Abbe/Koenig roof prisms: This prism design is chosen for efficient light transmission and strong low-light performance, helping the image stay bright and detailed when game or targets are hardest to see clearly.
• Fluorite-based B.5 optical system: In the Maven B5 line, fluorite glass and a field-flattening approach support high contrast, strong color fidelity, and better edge-to-edge clarity, which reduces eye fatigue during long sessions behind the glass.
• 17.40 mm eye relief: The generous eye relief makes the binocular easier to use for eyeglass wearers and more comfortable during extended observation, especially when holding a steady view at higher magnification.
• Tripod-adaptable, weather-sealed build: A waterproof, fogproof, nitrogen-filled housing with tripod compatibility makes the B5 12x56 practical for exposed mountain, field, and winter use where conditions and viewing times are demanding.

About the Maven B5 Series

The Maven B5 series sits within the company’s elite-level B Series binocular range and is built for users who need more reach than a general-purpose 8x or 10x binocular can provide. In this family, Maven focuses on extended-range viewing, especially in open country where detail recognition at long distance matters as much as brightness in difficult light. The series is offered in 10x56, 12x56, 15x56, and 18x56 formats, giving hunters, spotters, and target shooters options that scale from all-day glassing to highly specialized long-range observation.

B5 binoculars combine fluorite glass, Abbe-Koenig prisms, and a lightweight frame architecture to prioritize image brightness, contrast, and fine detail. That optical layout is especially well suited to low-light use, where a 56 mm objective and efficient prism system help preserve visibility at the edges of legal shooting light. The series is also waterproof, fog-proof, and tripod adaptable, which reflects its intended role as a serious field optic rather than a compact carry binocular. Within Maven’s lineup, the B5 series is the choice for users who regularly glass big landscapes and want a binocular that can hold detail at distance without stepping immediately into a spotting scope.

About the Maven B5 12x56

The Maven B5 12x56 is the balanced model in the series for users who want noticeably more reach than a 10x binocular, but without the narrower handling window and steadiness demands of 15x or 18x formats. Its 12x magnification is well suited to open-country hunting, hillside observation, and long-distance wildlife viewing, where the goal is to separate small details from background clutter without carrying a spotting scope for every scan. Paired with a 56 mm objective lens and a 4.70 mm exit pupil, it keeps enough image brightness for low-light glassing while still delivering the magnification needed for careful evaluation at distance.

The optical design uses roof prisms in an Abbe/Koenig configuration and fully multicoated lenses, a combination that supports strong transmission, good contrast, and a clean image across the field. The 96.00 m/1000m field of view is controlled rather than wide, which fits the binocular’s role: it is built to inspect terrain methodically rather than to maximize close-range scanning speed. A 17.40 mm eye relief helps maintain comfort over long sessions and gives eyeglass wearers a more forgiving viewing position.

Mechanically, the binocular is designed for hard field use. Its aluminium housing, nitrogen filling, waterproof and fogproof construction, and - 40°C / + 70°C working range support use in severe weather and changing temperatures. The central focusing system keeps operation straightforward, while the 1275.00 g weight and tripod adaptability make it practical as either a handheld long-range binocular or a more stable tripod-mounted observation tool when maximum detail matters.

About Maven

Maven Outdoor Equipment Company was founded in 2013 and is headquartered in Lander, Wyoming. The company focuses on sporting optics, including binoculars, spotting scopes, riflescopes, rangefinders, and monoculars, and it is particularly known for a product range that spans the B, C, S, CS, RS, CRS, RF, and CRF series. Within that lineup, Maven’s binocular offerings are divided clearly by intended use and construction, with premium B Series models positioned above the polymer-framed C Series.

For optics in the B and S Series, Maven uses Japanese components and has them assembled in a military-standard facility in San Diego, with inspection and testing carried out at its Lander headquarters. That background is relevant to the B5 12x56 because it places the binocular within the company’s higher-grade optical segment, where image quality, mechanical consistency, and field durability are the main priorities. Maven also sells directly to consumers, which is a defining part of how the brand positions its optics in the market.
