Lyman Pick and Brush Set

• Multi-shape picks: The set uses differently shaped picks to reach grooves, corners and recesses that patches cannot clean effectively, making it easier to remove fouling from detailed firearm surfaces.
• Brass and nylon brushes: With both brass and nylon brush types, the set gives a practical choice between more aggressive scrubbing and gentler cleaning on sensitive areas.
• Useful for pistols and rifles: Built for pistols and rifles, this compact gun care accessory suits routine bench cleaning, range-bag maintenance and general workshop use.
• Polymer construction: The polymer components keep the set light and easy to handle, which helps when working carefully around small parts and tight spaces.
• Compact cleaning accessory: As a simple dedicated cleaning set, it adds targeted detail-cleaning capability without taking up much room in a broader firearm maintenance kit.

About the Lyman Pick and Brush Series

The Lyman Pick and Brush series is designed as a straightforward firearm-maintenance solution for shooters who need better access to the small, awkward areas that standard patches and bore tools do not reach well. Within Lyman’s gun care range, these tools sit alongside cleaning kits, rods and bore accessories as specialist items for detail work rather than barrel cleaning alone. That makes them especially useful for routine maintenance on actions, slides, bolt faces and other surfaces where powder residue tends to collect in corners and recesses.

The series focuses on a practical combination of shaped picks and utility brushes so the user can match the tool to the area being cleaned. This approach suits both casual firearm upkeep and more thorough bench cleaning, where reaching into narrow channels and around small components matters as much as cleaning the bore itself. The overall design philosophy is simple: compact tools, easy handling and materials chosen for repeated maintenance tasks on a wide range of firearms.

About the Lyman Pick and Brush Set

The Lyman Pick and Brush Set is a compact gun care accessory made for the part of firearm cleaning that usually takes the most patience: removing residue from places that are too tight, too angled or too detailed for ordinary patches. Its main advantage is the use of multiple pick shapes, which helps the set adapt to different grooves, corners and narrow recesses on both pistols and rifles. In practice, that means less improvising with unsuitable tools and more controlled cleaning around the action and other hard-to-reach areas.

The inclusion of brass and nylon brushes adds useful flexibility. Brass is helpful when fouling needs firmer scrubbing, while nylon is better suited to lighter cleaning or areas where a gentler touch is preferred. This makes the set more versatile than a single-brush solution, especially for shooters who maintain different firearm types or want one small kit for range use and home cleaning alike.

Its polymer construction keeps the set lightweight and easy to manage during careful work on small surfaces. Finished in black, it fits naturally into a cleaning box, bench kit or range bag as a dedicated detail-cleaning tool. Rather than replacing broader cleaning equipment, this set complements it by handling the precise work that often determines how complete a cleaning job really is.

About Lyman

The Lyman Gun Sight Company began in 1878 in Middlefield, Connecticut, establishing the brand early in the development of American shooting accessories. Lyman makes equipment and accessories for shooting and reloading, with a long-standing focus on practical tools for shooters, reloaders and firearm enthusiasts. Its range includes reloading dies, presses, bullet-casting equipment and gun sights, reflecting a broad presence across both ammunition preparation and firearm support equipment.

Lyman Products is headquartered in Middletown, Connecticut, and the company’s history in sighting equipment remains an important part of its identity. Lyman’s tang and receiver sights continue to use principles from William Lyman’s original sight design, linking current products to the company’s earliest engineering ideas. That long involvement in firearm-related tools and accessories gives Lyman a well-established place in categories such as gun care, reloading and workshop equipment.
