Levenhuk Rainbow 8x25 Amethyst Monocular

• Compact 8x25 format: The slim monocular is easy to carry in a pocket or small bag, while 8x magnification brings distant details closer without the bulk of larger outdoor optics.
• Wide field of view: A field of view of 144.00 m/1000m makes it easier to follow moving subjects at sports events, festivals, or while scanning open areas for birds and wildlife.
• Fully multicoated optics: The coated optical surfaces help preserve brightness and contrast, which is especially useful in mixed daylight conditions where small optics can otherwise lose image quality.
• Short close focus: With a close focus of 3.00 m, the monocular works well not only for distant viewing but also for nearby details such as exhibits, signs, or birds at short range.
• Lightweight everyday build: The plastic housing keeps weight down for casual travel and day trips, and the nitrogen-filled interior helps reduce internal fogging caused by temperature changes.

About the Levenhuk Rainbow Series

Levenhuk Rainbow is a compact monocular series introduced on October 1, 2018 as a lightweight, easy-to-carry option for casual outdoor observation. The line stands out for its bright color variants, including Amethyst, Red Berry, Sunny Orange, Lime, and Blue Wave, giving the series a more informal and approachable character than traditional black field optics. Across the range, the models share an 8x magnification and 25 mm aperture, a combination aimed at everyday portability rather than long sessions behind heavy equipment.

The series uses BK-7 glass optics with fully multilayer-coated optical elements, balancing simple handling with clear daytime viewing. Levenhuk positions these monoculars for sports spectators, outdoor festival visitors, bird watchers, and children, so the design focuses on a wide viewing area, low weight, and uncomplicated use. That makes the Rainbow series a practical fit for users who want a small optic for travel, events, and general observation, without the size and setup demands of larger binoculars or spotting scopes.

About the Levenhuk Rainbow 8x25 Amethyst Monocular

The Levenhuk Rainbow 8x25 Amethyst Monocular is built for casual observation where portability matters as much as optical reach. Its 8.00 x magnification gives enough image scale for sports, sightseeing, and bird watching, while the 25.00 mm objective lens keeps the body compact and easy to carry throughout the day. This is the kind of monocular that suits short walks, city trips, outdoor events, and situations where a full-size binocular would feel unnecessary.

A key strength of this model is its 144.00 m/1000m field of view, which helps when tracking moving subjects or scanning a scene quickly. The fully multicoated optics support better contrast and a cleaner image in daylight, and the 3.10 mm exit pupil provides a comfortable balance between compact size and usable brightness in normal outdoor conditions. With a close focus of 3.00 m, it also handles nearby subjects better than many small optics, which adds flexibility for museums, exhibits, and close-range nature viewing.

The monocular uses a plastic housing to keep weight low and handling simple. Its nitrogen-filled construction helps limit internal fogging when moving between different temperatures, which is useful for travel and everyday carry. The 9.30 mm eye relief is suited to quick, direct viewing, and the Amethyst finish gives the monocular a distinctive look within the Rainbow line.

About Levenhuk

Levenhuk began operations in 2002, initially focusing on markets outside the United States. The company describes itself as an American manufacturer of optical instruments with headquarters in Tampa, Florida, and says its manufacturing facilities are in China. Its catalog covers a broad span of observation equipment, including binoculars, spotting scopes, telescopes, monoculars, and microscopes.

Within sports and observation optics, Levenhuk offers product families that range from simple entry-level designs to more specialized models. Its binocular lines include Atom, Karma, Sherman, and Vegas, while the wider product range also extends into thermal and digital night-vision devices such as the Fatum, Halo, and Atom Digital series.
